For me it’s BBC’s 1995 Pride and Prejudice. Absolute perfection, I wouldn’t change a thing!

Schitt's Creek. Absolutely loved it.

HuwsLineIsItAnyway · 28/07/2023 21:46

Life on Mars.

Heavily let down by Ashes to Ashes though.

GellerYeller · 28/07/2023 21:47

This Life… probably horribly aged now but at the time, so good.

When the Dust Settles
A Danish series on channel 4 (still available on their catch up!) Truly the most perfect programme I've ever seen, incredibly well written, produced, acted.

A Place to Call Home
Australian period drama set in the 1950s. Everything about this series is done to perfection. I've watched and rewatched and have a yearning to live inside it.

The Night Of is a masterpiece. I agree @Bamboozles

BAdopter · 28/07/2023 21:57

I could list loads but perfect would be:
Breaking Bad
Gavin and Stacey (how is this not listed more here?!?)
Sons of Anarchy (again how is this not listed more!?)
Desperate Housewives
1000lb Sisters (not sure this counts but I find them fascinating!)
Call of Duty
Happy Valley
Keeping up Appearances
Call The Midwife (again can't believe not listed here!)

They finished the story with 2 books I think but I don't think the person that wrote them had seen much beyond the series finale. I don't actually remember how they ended though now 😂. Season 2 just seemed like they added loads of mutants and a really daft plot device to keep them apart.

Anyway, off screen there have been some comments made by Jessica Alba that make it sound like she was heavily pressured into the relationship by the (significantly older) Michael Weatherly. She was 18 ish, he was 30.

I'm sorry apparently I've come on this thread to ruin shows. 😂😭

I appreciate the context and omg.

vibecheck · 28/07/2023 22:21

The Leftovers is pretty close to perfect. So is The Americans.

Jericha · 28/07/2023 22:22

Love a few already mentioned but I so enjoyed Mr Inbetween on Disney.

PrancerandDancer · 28/07/2023 22:24
