I don't know what these people think they are achieving. I think the mum was in a cab which looks like an electric car anyway, they refuse to let her get past.

I'm really not, if you've ever worked in a hospital you'd know that most if not all appointments are not for emergency care.

No ones saying they are. I work in a hospital..
PEOPLE COME TO HOSPITAL BECAUSE THEY NEED CARE AND TREATMENT!!!
(And breeatthhee)
They weren't on a fucking jolly.

I hope they got permission from jso and Mn posters first

TRexTara · 22/07/2023 19:31

I'm not actually speculating. As in a previous post I could speculate that the mum was lying or exaggerating, or it wasn't a baby but a very small puppy.

None of that makes a bloody difference. They were told that a mother needed to take her baby to hospital and did nothing to expedite that. Therefore I believe that they are heartless smug entitled bastards.

Oh the irony, I’m frontline NHS management, I know exactly what comes in and out and therefore can categorically say you are talking bullshit.

To use your example, a baby with a skin condition does require an urgent review, no appointments are given that don’t need be given which is what you originally said, that is what primary care is for.

BeeHappy12 · 22/07/2023 19:34

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. If people who claim to work in a hospital don't understand that most appointments aren't emergencies, people go to hospital to visit other people, that you've taken an extreme view of eczema... I'm obviously conversing with extremely limited people despite trying to present alternative views. If I'm just going to be sworn at, I'll let you all be. I'm sure you all live tolerant, open minded, calm lives.

TRexTara · 22/07/2023 19:35

If you have been told quite clearly that a baby needs to go to hospital, you don't need any further information. Most normal people would completely put themselves out to make sure that baby got there on time. If the mother lied, so what? I personally would not question her and move the hell out of the way because the alternative is too horrible and I wouldn't want to be responsible.

People make up any old shit to get their own way. Especially entitled London mummies. Don’t take anything you see in the press at face value.

TRexTara · 22/07/2023 19:39

Let's take a guess and say that it was something that wasn't life threatening, you are still leaving a baby and it's mother in distress.

Let's say she completely lied, the JSO people couldn't possibly prove that. They also couldn't possibly prove that it was a none emergency appointment.

They stood in her way anyway. Let that sink in.

I can see that the current people participating in the discussion are only interested in one narrative, the horribly sick baby needed urgent medical attention and JSO have no hearts to stop a mother from protecting their child.

I was simply presenting an alternative view point that the baby was not sick, the mother was simply inconvenienced and if anything 'using' her baby to garner attention and was actually just an inconvenienced person like everyone else and the story is designed to push an anti climate change agenda. I ask in earnest, could you consider that?

I don’t care if the baby was horribly sick or if the mother was just inconvenienced, the point is it’s fuck all to do with JSO morons where and what she was doing, they have no right to interrupt people’s days.

Dontcallmescarface · 22/07/2023 19:41

Maybe the answer is to yell "I'm an A&E nurse and I need to get to work" every time JSO hold up the traffic.

You don’t have hospital experience do you? It’s fine you can be honest but don’t try and pretend to know how the system works as it’s making you look foolish.

They don’t even let ambulances on blue lights through.

Honestly anyone defending them is clearly an idiot and shouldn’t be engaged with.

Even if it was a baby Chihuahua, I still don't care, that baby chihuahua should still have priority over a bunch of self important arseholes.

Of course they do, are you serious. They give hospital appointments to well babies, unwell but not urgently sick babies, all kinds of babies. For all you know, she could've had a baby in the car (as that's all she's stated) and going to the hospital to visit a friend or have a non urgent toe looked at... probably more likely than the baby required emergency care and she didn't mention that at all.

I wonder if the person on the back of the ambulance with the blue lights on that they were also happy to hold up was also well, or perhaps the paramedics just put the sirens on for some entertainment 🤔 or maybe, just maybe, JSO protesters are actually just knobheads who really don't care about the suffering they are inflicting with their ineffectual attempts to save the planet. (Again, it won't work because they're not bothering the government and the government don't care about the average person).

But it was a baby even if the mother wss an over anxious mother with a baby that had a bit of a cold so fucking what, babies can't tell you if they feel and an quickly deteriate🙄

TRexTara · 22/07/2023 19:55

@AIBot they had no proof of that and still didn't let her car through. Would you take that chance? I suspect not.

OP posts:

Even if the Daily Mail or whoever exposes that mother as a complete liar, it doesn't matter. People have seen what the JSO protesters are about and they are disgusted.

That's my point!

Meanwhile, on the Greek island of Rhodes, wildfires have prompted mass evacuations and a call for all boats in the area to assist.

Don’t understand how you tolerate that down in England. They’d not survive trying to block Scottish roads, they’d have been dragged off by their hair and forced down to let folk past.

Agree!! The drivers would be out of their cars hauling them off the road if it was here
That's what everyone I know would do and strangers would help

JSO are marching to raise awareness of climate change and the key role of the oil industry. Wildfires caused by the effects of climate change are relevant. Rhodes is the latest place in a long list to be affected.

Although I could never be a protester, I’m amazed that people aren’t more worried about what’s coming, and more aware of press manipulation.

JenniferBooth · 22/07/2023 20:07

A complete stranger has no right to know your medical business or demand to see confidential paperwork including medical appointment letters.

JSO you are acting like Job Centre work coaches when you do this Something for them to think about as they claim to be on the left
