I didn't read the thread, but I agreed with the OP.

If you want to farm your kids off from 8 till 6, don't complain about the level of care. You took it out of your hands the moment you made the decision.

Stop whinging. The only reason you're all cross is because you're not in a strong position to begin with.

Just so I'm clear, Desi, are you saying it shouldn't matter to WOHMs how their children are being treated by their childcare provider?

Yes, hunker. That's pretty much what I'm saying.

I think we do agree on the things that matter (remember the naughty mat you could buy on amazon, ffs?!) - but my posts to you today were coloured by these posts you made. I do leave my boys, full time - and although I don't use a nanny, your comments weren't specifically about nannies. So it pissed me off - and I posted snippily to you because of it. Probably not right, but human.

Anyway, as I said - shake

Ignore me, hunker. I'm old, and post-menopausal, apparently. It's alright to be anything else, but it's not alright to be post-menopausal. That just makes you a loon.

Thanks for linking. I thought it was a good post of mine!

Any way, it's been quite a day. Take a tip, folks. Never cross swords with Hunker and VV on the breastfeeding debate. They'll getcha, and make no mistake.

expatinscotland · 25/02/2008 23:56

You vipers knock it off before someone loses a fang!

Desiderata · 25/02/2008 23:58

It's alright, expat. I've got three more.

expatinscotland · 25/02/2008 23:59

Kerry missed the troll!

Where the hell have you been?

hunkermunker · 26/02/2008 00:00

EIS, I lost two fangs today at the dentist.

KM, I am. Now

Night, Desi. Sleep tight.

expatinscotland · 26/02/2008 00:02

I've lost a couple myself, Hunker. Both after each girl's birth.

I can't go to bed till this damn banana loaf is ready to come out of the oven.

I've been mad in the kitchen tonight because I'm afriad we're going to get another power cut tomorrow when the gales hit.

Want my kitchen to be clean and for us to have plenty to much.

Not good enough, Kerry! This has been a desi-bashing day today, and I could have done with your support.

Mouse shit and chess is no comparison at all

expatinscotland · 26/02/2008 00:11

I've had those days myself, Desi .

Ooooo, KM, I made a white bean dip today, too, in preparation for the storm.

Was hoping to get across the water tomorrow and stock up, but it's not looking likely with the storm coming, so will have to wait till Wednesday .

hunkermunker · 26/02/2008 00:12

I had both my front teeth drilled off. I lost them in an argument with a seesaw when I was about nine and have had caps (with pins inserted to build up tooth round), root canal work, crowns and now I have temps on and I'm waiting for new crowns to be made. The old ones were porcelain-bonded metal (so black on the back), the new ones are ceramic (so white all the way through). The old ones were discoloured and cracked (nice, eh?!).

So it was through choice, but not really choice because they were horrible. But I had to overcome a severe case of dentist phobia to have it done - hadn't been to the dentist for over a decade (I had the crowns put on when I was 18, then had my wisdom teeth cut out and thought sod this dentistry lark!).

VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/02/2008 00:12

Oh toughen up desi you big ol fanny fart. Times are hard when you are relying on Kerrymum to support you fgs

mehdismummy · 26/02/2008 00:12
