Why do men walk around with their hands down their trousers.

It's disgusting and I see it all the time.

AIBU to think something should be said and done about it?

Agree, plus all the crotch touching in some kinds of music performances.

thistimelastweek · 15/07/2023 21:48

The joy of being a woman is you don't have to worry about your dick falling off.

doitwithlove · 15/07/2023 21:49

It is just vile when men do this 😬😡

ForeverFriendsAndPierrot · 15/07/2023 21:52

Something should be 'said and gone about it' 😆

Like what?

Tie their hands behind their backs?

That'd stop them groping women, too.

70sTomboy · 15/07/2023 21:57

I usually ask where mummy is.. After the age of 5, it's gross, unacceptable behaviour.

CovertImage · 15/07/2023 21:58

I have honestly never seen this in my life

VeniVidiWeeWee · 15/07/2023 22:03

Seriously?

I have never seen this.

Restinggoddess · 15/07/2023 22:04

Totally agree OP
I would also add men adjusting themselves/ touching their dick to check it’s there whilst talking to you ( latest was the salesman in Go Outdoors, discussing walking shoes)

We have lots a lot of the good manners that used to be instilled in us to be considerate, polite, clean and aware of social niceties

eddiemairswife · 15/07/2023 22:07

They love their dingly-dangle bits.

Stratocumulus · 15/07/2023 22:09

I’ve heard of a bloke in a workplace who used to sit at his desk and put his hand inside his waistband down into his trews whilst sitting at his desk.
He was then seen to withdraw his hand and carry on typing.

At least he wasn't working in a sandwich shop.

ArcticLadybird · 15/07/2023 22:14

Gross, ime usually wearing grey joggers and a weed bag. E scooter optional. I just pity them and assume they’ll never get a shag.

BCBird · 15/07/2023 22:15

🤣sandwich shop. I have seen it loads if times. My mate used to mutter to me, 'it's still there'🙄 my ex never did this, well nit in my company, but he was incredibly proud of his. He never said anything or did a thing to make me say this but it was just a feeling I had. Had one partner who I adored, was probably 8 stone over weight. I thought he was gorgeous. He used to prance round full of confidence. Winder if it is a bloke thing or just the ones I have met.

Icecreamsundayz · 15/07/2023 22:16

My husband does this in the house all the time and I literally pull him up on it every single time.. it’s vile 😩 imagine women just walked about doing it 🙈

Well my Mother used to say 'Get your hand off your ha'penny.'
Not sure they'd understand though!

Northernsouloldies · 15/07/2023 22:22

I'm male and I think it's tink behaviour. The trackie brigade outside McDonald's, I always think now go eat your maccyd with pissy fingers.

oldermen · 15/07/2023 22:23

My teenage son's friend does this in my house. I haven't ever said anything but do want to!

Except the examples above have been of very different scenarios! 🤔

Perfect response 😂😂

AnnieSnap · 15/07/2023 22:29

It’s vile. Imagine the outcry if women went around like that!

GraysPapaya · 15/07/2023 22:30

I see it all the time these days, I stare in an attempt to make them realise. If I manage to make eye contact, It works maybe 30% of the time!

I would ask him every time if he needs a 'weewee'. Ask your son in front of him if he needs to get his friend home to mummy.

Utterly disrespectful in your home.

MrsTerryPratchett · 15/07/2023 22:34

I used to work with young people in South London and they'd do this. I found that a mummy voice and "take your hand out and wash your hands NOW" worked wonders. They'd magically transform from wannabe gangsters into the sweet young men they had been raised to be.

Ditto all the limpy walking nonsense as well. Charming young people but yuk to the hand.

Blessedbethefruitz · 15/07/2023 22:34

This is a quite weird phenomenon here in my town. Seems to be men 18-25 for the most part. 2 alone today at 5pm, also outside McDonald's - which I'm not knocking, we went in for takeout after a late brithday party! They're just walking along with their hands down the front. Why?!!

Always tempted to say loudly 'hands out of pants,' as I'm usually with ds4 and still using this phrase lol, but also not brave enough with him and the baby as there are some bloody lunatics around these days...
