So tired of cooking the same thing over and over again. I am the main cook for me dh and three boys, two are big teens and eat a lot, recently invested in a double air fryer.
We probably have a rotation of the same meals . If everyone shares their top 5 meals then there will be ideas for others.
Mine are
Fajitas,
Vietnamese style Pork with noodles and a fried egg
Pork chops in honey and soy
Carbonara
Sausage and bean casserole.
Cate to share yours?

Our are:
fish tacos (breaded fish/scampi, black beans, salsa, guacamole, cheese in a tortilla)
pasta with veggie meatballs in tomato sauce
breaded fish with katsu sauce, rice, veg
veggie burgers in buns, potato wedges
Tortellini and jarred pasta sauce on a really busy day.

im a pescatarian and have a chronic illness so meals need to be quick and easy, so unfortunately there’s some stuff in there that is probably not MN-approved…

Tacos - either beef, pork, fish, turkey or black bean and roasted sweet potato. All the fixings

Pasta with either tomatoes, borlotti beans, garlic, chillis and kale; or with cannellini beans, tomatoes, garlic, chillis and sage; or with sausage or pancetta pieces, garlic, chillis, and purple sprouting broccoli

A very easy red lentil and sweet potato dal that I found on Mumsnet served with a side of sautéed okra (with garlic and chillis

Marinated chicken thighs from the butcher thrown on the grill with rice or new potatoes and some kind of green

Really uninspired stir fries - need a tried and true method to stop everything getting soggy

Oh in the winter, spicy mac'n'cheese with peppers, onions and garlic and chillis! (there's a theme here.)

Penne arrabbiata with crusty bread and a simple salad (Any past will do though).

Fish cakes (homemade or shop bought) with a salad (apple, walnut, cranberry, baby leaves, feta and a honey lemon mustard dressing)

Mushroom hot and sour soup with ramen (can substitute mushroom for pretty much anything) and the noodles make it a dinner rather than a lunch.

Stuffed gnochi (shop bought and usually tomato and mozzarella or spincach and pesto) and a salad (rocket, goats cheese, red grape, roasted apricot and a balsamic dressing)

Steak with a soy caramel sauce, homemade frites (dunno if that's the correct name but the ultra thinly sliced chips essentially), and a simple salad. This can also be fone with roast baby carrots and asparagus instead of salad.

Halloumi salad (leaves, croutons, pickled cabbage, red onion, avocado (smashed with lime and chilli) with a miso honey dressing).

Thai coconut and lime curry (I use tofu but works with chicken), basmati rice, homemade naan or tempura veg.

Pretty much all of them can be cooked from scratch in under 30 mins.

I tried this spicey pork fried rice after someone on here recommended it last week. It was a huge hit with DH and DS.

Also recommended on here fajita chicken traybake. Another big favourite, I have also tried it with haloumi.

Use any of your favourite – or leftover – vegetables instead in this spicy pork dish, and swap the pork for chicken thigh fillets if preferred.

This is a very ‘white’ plate of food and Masterchef would be horrified, but we like it:
roast chicken
mashed or roast potatoes
cauliflower
cheese sauce

Looks awful on a plate, but tastes fab
