The Royal men can get away with thinning hair or being plain , but god forbid one of the women is seen with a grey hair and the press are all over it
The pressure on her to remain slim must be immense too, but she clearly has an iron will as well as everything around her to help with her fitness. Having Money helps too of course and they can afford decent food and well cut clothes

She was out with the Cubs with Louis in combat trousers doing some tree planting or something similar and -a photo shoot and still managed to look groomed and gorgeous !

Its a job. An exceptionally well paid one, but who really wants to be in the public eye all the time? Certainly not me or anyone I know. Constantly scrutinised and criticised. I like how she looks. I’d love to be that slender just once in my life to see how it feels.

She looks fine. Always very well groomed which is hardly surprising given the team she has. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary. I don't get the hate or the adulation.

I don't see her as a role model at all. I see her fulfilling a traditional, cultural and historic role. And she's doing that beautifully.

Far cry from the behaviour of her parents in law's generation, toe sucking, tampons harassing married men from public phone boxes.

Kate has decorum and that's what her role requires.

I was that thin in my 20s , but how I wished I was like it now. Luckily nobody cares how I look as im not out representing my country or being scrutinized. They would pick me to pieces !

Is she not as classic example of what any of us could be with money?

She's obviously not unattractive, but I wouldn't say she's a jaw dropping out and out stunner.

Could we not all have glossy hair if we had someone to call on to give us a bouncy blow whenever we fancied?
Could we all not look photo ready if we had a makeup team on hand?
Her style isn't personally my own, but could we all not dress well if we had a team of people putting outfits together, with a pretty decent budget available for each one?

Would we not all be able to try our hand (with some success) at sports if we went to private schools with a decent sports program? Or had the family funds growing up for lessons/clubs etc?

I'm not trying to snipe or to take anything anyway from her, I think it's just important to remember that people in roles like hers, or anyone in the public eye actually, have a whole army of people that help them get the results they do.

I wouldn't ever comment on her personality, as I don't know her and she is playing a role when performing her public duties. Also wouldn't want to pass comment on a marriage that we know nothing about.

And I think she doesn't look too thin at all. She's tall and athletic. Clearly being in the public eye she'll work hard to maintain her shape and fitness but she's look strong and healthy.

I do wonder if she is frustrated by the conservative constraints of being married to William. Whether she has ideas for charity etc but they are all diluted like weak cordial and mostly never happen.

I find a lot of what she wears frumpy for her age. Although attractive, she looks older than her age.

I'm not sure @aperolspritzbasicbitch as the York women surely have (or had...) that money at their disposal but don't look how you describe. They come across as lovely women but they not comparable to Kate style and looks wise.

Ah, yes, she's thin. But surely in her position she has access to the best health and fitness advice? She knows what her job is - she'll always be photographed so wants to look good. She was never fat and now, well, she's thin but if that's the worst people can say about her, it's not too bad.

Picture perfect? Yes, she’s the very picture of a patriarchal society. Be pretty, thin, don’t hold your own opinions, don’t say anything unless ask, be the very script of a man’s ideal woman. She plays the part perfectly and it’s beyond depressing in this day and age.

She's bland and it's her job to "care". Doubt, she gives anyone a second thought on her way back to her palace.
