I'm just saying that her being thin shouldn't be criticised and bitched about (which it had been a number of times on this thread) but agree it shouldn't be a quality (not the right word but you get my drift) she is looked up to for.

I agree, she looks beautiful. Not sure how much editing was done on the photos, though, and maybe some Photoworks magic had been applied, and she surely has a team that helps her keep up with this look, but this only means they are good at that, so good for them. She's a public figure, no doubt she has to have a look!

This kind of post bemuses me. She was hand picked to be attractive and conformist, and that's what she does well. I hope she's happy.

What is bizarre is the OPs amazement that she looks so good in all her photos. The Mail and other tabloids have decided she is Saint Kate, so all the photos are flattering and pursue that narrative.

They weren't always so kind to her, remember the "Waity Katy" years? But now they have someone else to have a go at and generate clickbait for those who like to give another woman a good kicking.

So Kate can be an angel and Megan can be evil incarnate. You will only see pictures of Kate that support the fragrant English Rose narrative. It's surprising that any thinking adult would fall for it to the extent of posting this kind of sycophantic twaddle.

I'll admit that she looks good, and I do like Kate.

However...my DH always banged on about how great Kylie Minogue looks. I tell him to go have a look at her in neighbours and tell me if he feels the same. Kylie, like Kate, has a team of people working on her. Have you ever seen "10 Years Younger", where they take someone who has let themselves go, and they do facial treatments and enhancements, teeth, hair, a stylist, makeup etc. etc. and they come out looking amazing and at least 10 years younger.

Well, Kate (and Kylie) have a team of people doing this every day of the year, including personal trainers, the best hair stylists flying round with you and nutritionists.

If I had Kate's team, I'd look better than her I reckon ;)

That said, this is not a spiteful post. I like Kate. But she doesn't roll out of bed looking like that. Kate's image is carefully managed and there is a lot of effort put into her look because the people pulling the strings know that the British general public's opinion of the RF are at it's highest when Kate is looking lovely, and smiling at babies.

Yeah but can you not see what makes Kate the outlier is the fact that of all these royal women she is the one who has no discernible opinions or personality. This is not something to celebrate.

The reason why people turned variously on Diana, Fergie and Meghan was that they didn’t toe the line of what the public wanted from them. They all in various ways allowed too much of their real self to intrude and that’s why they were all torn apart by the media.

I don’t think anyone wishes Kate any ill at all. I certainly don’t. I think she’s a smart, tough and competent woman who is apparently managing to survive in this horrendous goldfish bowl and kudos to her for doing so.

But what many of us find disturbing is that in an age of post feminism with maximum female participation in the workforce and high levels of consciousness about the way the Royal Family manipulates the media, people still start threads on here praising her essentially for being incredibly inoffensive. Well done for being rich, thin and not having a personality. Whoop de fucking do.

It is like the online equivalent of people walking past a burning building and saying: “look at the lovely smart uniforms on the firefighters!” A huge collective exercise in missing the point.

I'd imagine she has a stylist, makeup artist, beautician, dermatologist, hairdresser, personal trainer, dietician, personal chef etc. on speed dial. I also can't see her buying a £2 bottle of shampoo from Home Bargains or a £5 tub of the Aldi moisturiser.

Oh the press definitely will turn on her in time. When it suits them. And the public will fall for it.

When Kate arrived at the NHS 75th anniversary tea party holding a cake, I found myself wanting her to go rogue. I wanted her to pie some bigwig with the cake and make a barnstorming speech about the NHS needing cash not cake.

That's the problem, for me. The country is going to the corgis, the NHS is creaking. But Kate can be relied on to provide distraction with her pretty dresses.

It's not her fault, of course. She's doing her job.

I think she's an average looking woman, if I am honest, she knows how to dress (perhaps with the help of a stylist or two) and also knows how to cultivate her public image (kind, happy, but with a hint of exhausted mother - so we can all relate a bit). Honestly, what bothers me most is how the media portray her and how they portray Meghan - we're conditioned to like one and admire her, whereas say as much negative stuff about the other as we possibly, when in reality we actually know neither of them. All women can be beautiful in their own right, and it really doesn't help to compare people.

I reckon Kate's secret weapon is her mum on speed dial. Her mum comes across as tough as nuts. I think Kate is always on the phone to her crying saying this and that has happened and she gets free Carole Counselling. They have become more low key of late, probably as they used to get a slating in the press. I do think that Carole has a cool head and nerves of steel and she coaches Kate better than any royal staff could. I think Carole has a hand in Kate's style too.

This! Why are these the ultimate goals for a women in 2023, so depressing.

Not everyone is a fan of hers or any of the Royals , so I guess it's a case of her doing her duty and maybe just kicking back a bit at home or having her family to whinge to when it all becomes a bit too much. She's only human after all and I wouldn't want her job for all the money in the world , even with lots of help and money at your fingertips

I’m not sure they will: her genius is I think that she’s learned the lesson and is incredibly canny about not putting a foot wrong. She has observed the women who have gone before her and is determined not to give anyone anything to use against her.

And I don’t blame her for this; I think it’s very smart. She’s played the grim hand she has been dealt really really well.

I just find it breathtaking that so many people see this as “elegant” and “classy”. It’s anything but classy to be a beautiful, blank, mute trapped animal. It’s desperately sad.

And yes she and her children will never want for anything. But the quid pro quo is that she is walking around with a permanent injunction against her personality. I think it’s a pitiful existence.

She’s really bloody dull.
