To think Kate is truly picture perfect

I mean - who looks that good in all their photos. She’s just so beautiful and incredibly photogenic! Not to mention extremely good at tennis, all other sports and everything else in between. William could not have chosen a better wire!

The Princess of Wales, 41, was cheering on the Prince, 41, as he took part in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup 2023 at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor this afternoon.

@julylover yes she is lovely but I am questioning your motives here? Rather a goady first post. Surely you know this will attract some negative nasty comments.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 07/07/2023 06:21

I think she’s pretty but bland. Then again she needs be bland as a future Queen. I do think she puts incredible pressure on herself to stay thin etc and when she first met Wills she was of a much more normal weight whereas now I think she’s constantly scrutinised for any pounds she puts on.

My SIL and possibly her SuL are similar ages to Kate and my SIL watched the royal wedding and admired her dress but Kate isn’t of my era so I relevant to me.

It’s not been great to compare her to Meghan (ugh!) . I also think Kate knows she has to be seen to loook good and promote the RF brand or by the time Wills is king they won’t be relevant anymore. Even know apart from the usual red tops fawning over them most of us including younger people still see them as unrepentant, privileged and out of touch. The final straw for me was Wills going on recently about helping the homeless. Yes his mum tool him round charities and he’s met the odd Big Issue seller but when they’ll never have to worry about this issue it sticks in some people’s gullets especially with CoL crisis, and also when they removed the homeless for Harry’s wedding. I work near Victoria and am still quite shocked at the amount of open homelessness there (with their various issues of course) a stones throw from Buckingham Palace but Wills doesn’t really care.

CapEBarra · 07/07/2023 06:23

Ahh, Jeez. Bloody Daily Heil click bait. You could at least have warned us. ‘Woman kisses husband at polo match’ bollocks.

Laughingstock1991 · 07/07/2023 06:26

Oh Jesus, fawning royal family threads 🤮

She is a beautiful woman- as is Megan Markle too - but I find the media portrayal of how perfect she is utterly vomit inducing.

happyasaseagullstealingchips · 07/07/2023 06:33

I'm sure she's lovely but can't help thinking she's being built up to to be tore down, there's precedent after all. The press did the same with Diana. Pretty much the whole pitting SILs against each other too. Its sad.

The whole Mary Poppins not sure if she'll be crowned or canonised first cant be sustained either way 🤔 I feel sorry for her to be honest.

Highandlows · 07/07/2023 06:33

Absolutely! Regal and beautiful. A great asset to the Royal Family.

Thepeopleversuswork · 07/07/2023 06:35

Saschka · 07/07/2023 00:53

They always come across as the work of Kate’s PR agency to me 🤷‍♀️

This. I have nothing against the woman but I find the cult of people falling over themselves to comment on how perfect she is vaguely sinister.

julylover · 07/07/2023 06:36

I’m just a plump middle aged woman (same age as Kate actually!) who is slightly in awe of her. It’s just the way she can turn her hand to anything on these visits they do and do a good job. If I was in her position I’d be crap - I’m shite at tennis for starters! 😂

LoisPrice · 07/07/2023 06:38

What has Kate actually done for herself?

meddysam · 07/07/2023 06:40

Its propaganda, the DM aren't going to print bad photos.

meddysam · 07/07/2023 06:41

She seems like someone who was designed by a committee aiming at total inoffensiveness in a series of nice frocks.

This, it's not her fault as that is what people want. But it's depressing that people want that in this day & age.

QueenMegan · 07/07/2023 06:42

If only you knew

meddysam · 07/07/2023 06:43

And I know we are not meant to be negative & I do think she's very attractive but incredibly beautiful? nope.

ArcaneWireless · 07/07/2023 06:46

It also inevitable attracts people who then say awful things about her looks and body.

Indeed @FinallyLeavingDenver

And they never miss a bastard opportunity.

YouJustDoYou · 07/07/2023 06:48

I think she's lovely. Beautiful, always classy, elegant, graceful.

YouJustDoYou · 07/07/2023 06:49

QueenMegan · 07/07/2023 06:42

If only you knew

That you, Megs? 😂

Lifeomars · 07/07/2023 06:51

I'm a republican, I think that having a royal family is old fashioned, very costly and reinforces the class system that holds so many people back. I read articles and comments about the royals because I simply don't get it, I don't get the fawning nor do I get the hatred. They are just people, albeit cosseted and privileged people and I cannot understand why those who do not know them and will never meet them are so invested in what they get up to. It's very different from being a fan of a singer or an actor, those people have talent and a product. All this fixation on them is so odd. Leaving aside my feelings about the institution of the monarchy I also think it is damaging for the individuals caught and trapped in its prison of privilege. Surely it would be a kindness to abolish the whole thing, let them lead anonymous lives, it would be far better for their children who will soon be under the scrutiny of the media.

SlightlyJaded · 07/07/2023 01:57

Is that you Carole?

🤣😂🤣 I agree it must be.

Joystir59 · 07/07/2023 06:53

PrayerFactory · 07/07/2023 00:58

I never see it. She seems like someone who was designed by a committee aiming at total inoffensiveness in a series of nice frocks.

This!

Harryyourenogoodalone · 07/07/2023 06:56

That kiss with William looks so awkwardly formal.

BallantyneValentine · 07/07/2023 06:57

I think unfortunately just like her mother in law she has an eating disorder. She looks painfully thin to me. But like her mother law she is also beautiful and she seems to have a lovely warm personality. Like others I think her life is the ultimate gilded cage and none of the money or status is remotely worth it.

Joystir59 · 07/07/2023 06:57

ARareKindaBear · 07/07/2023 05:25

I think she’s quite average looking in appearance. Meghan is very beautiful though

I agree

RatatouilleAndFeta · 07/07/2023 06:58

PinkArt · 07/07/2023 01:02

Yes, what could make anyone a better wife than to photograph well and be able to play tennis 🙄

Right?! It's not a bloody Dickens novel we live in you know!

Feminism did actually happen. 💜💚🤍

Harryyourenogoodalone · 07/07/2023 06:58

Meh! Woman has achieved nothing and has no opinions of her own but looks nice in expensive clothes and diets obsessively.

Definitely not my idea of a role model but you do you OP.

Thepeopleversuswork · 07/07/2023 06:59

@Lifeomars

I agree with all of this but also I find the peculiar fixation with Kate utterly bizarre because we know (deliberately) nothing about her other than that she’s thin, smiles well and wears expensive clothes nicely.

And people go on about how “elegant” and “classy” and “dignified” she is. When what they actually mean is that she has erased any faint trace of personality or identity. She is the blankest and blandest of canvases.

I completely get that this is her job and she has no choice (and she does it very well).

But the idea that this is something to inspire awe or admiration or to in any way aspire to is disturbing.
