To think Kate is truly picture perfect

I mean - who looks that good in all their photos. She’s just so beautiful and incredibly photogenic! Not to mention extremely good at tennis, all other sports and everything else in between. William could not have chosen a better wire!

The Princess of Wales, 41, was cheering on the Prince, 41, as he took part in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup 2023 at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor this afternoon.

Hmm. An OP with no posting history...

Ahhh. That you Kate?

daisychain01 · 07/07/2023 07:01

why do people talk about a woman needing to "put on a few pounds" - ffs people never talk about slim men (let's take for example Mick Jagger) needing to put on a bit of weight, it's depressing. If someone is born naturally slim as Princess Katherine is (newsflash she hasn't been Middleton for bloody years now), that's because it's her build, and she shouldn't have to eat extra pies just to please people on MN.

No. Seriously, read the thread. This was not posted to favour Kate, it was posted to encourage others to slate her.

continentallentil · 07/07/2023 07:06

She does a good job I think.

Picture perfect is a depressing way to describe anyone though OP. She’s not a barbie doll, even if image is a big part of her job.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 07/07/2023 07:07

Can we just lay off criticising women for their weight? Some of us are just slim. We eat well and exercise and just maintain our weight.

It's not on to be derogatory about someone who isn't thin and it's not ok the other way round either.

I've had a lifetime of sneery comments pretty much all from other women about this and it's bloody horrible.

She’s not Princess Catherine either, she’s Princess of Wales. Only women born Princesses in their own right get to use the title with their own first names.

Ey, stop fucking sniping. It just smacks of jealousy. She looks good, far better than most of us posting would in the same situation. Give your head a wobble. Three kids in that kind of media intensive world, I'd be at home under a duvet telling the Nanny to face the cameras.

Yes, this

Top username btw Grin

What has Kate actually done for herself?

I found out recently that she got an A in A level maths. I have since wondered what she could have done had she decided to go for a career in STEM, research etc.

Yes she is good at what she does but God it's so depressing that a woman is fawned over for looking good, being thin, being fertile and having a rich, powerful husband.

Bellevu · 07/07/2023 07:11

Shall we play bingo?

Classy
Beautiful
Doesn't put a foot wrong
Elegant
Regal
Passionate
Great asset
Warm

Majority of these translate to me as a black woman as coded way of saying, not Meghan or black (or both). Saddens me that Kate fans always find a way to do this. You can want to genuinely admire her lifestyle choices without

Never seen a sign of Kate taking anything more than tepid interest in anything, but now she's lauded for her passion for turning up somewhere.

What many of my friends now notice is the big 4 (Charles, Camilla, William and Kate) will now always make sure they have a photo cuddled up with a BME person whenever possible on an engagement. Damage control, I suppose.

skippy67 · 07/07/2023 07:11

YABU.

billy1966 · 07/07/2023 07:11

Lovely photos and she always looks well.

As a role model for my daughters?

Christ no.

Her life looks absolutely ghastly to me and I cannot see the appeal on any level.

Her sister made the shruder choice by a long shot.

calmcoco · 07/07/2023 07:11

Oh my goodness, this is an embarrassing thread!

I wish her no ill but come on, she's a mega rich woman with an entire team of staff to make her look good, including PR people.

She gets supportive press treatment and everything is designed to present an image.

Laurama91 · 07/07/2023 07:13

I'm sure if she was too thin she would have dietitian advising her. The UK average is actually over weight medically so what we see as normal is actually not a healthy weight. Doctor told me I needed to loose a good few stone while everyone around me said I was fine

babbscrabbs · 07/07/2023 07:13

JeandeServiette · 07/07/2023 01:44

Yes.

Obviously it's KM's job to be inoffensive but charming, photogenic & perfectly groomed, animated but politically neutral. Even more so to rescue the monarchy from the chaos of the previous generation. All of which sounds like hard work and not much fun, but she does it beautifully.

I'm baffled that anyone thinks she is a role model for more normal women, though.

Hers is a very vintage and niche role. I don't understand what it has to say to modern women with careers.

This. It's all well done but so dull.

She is also in my opinion unhealthily thin and I find it hard to look at.

meddysam · 07/07/2023 07:16

I always thought the point was why is her slimness something to be lauded?

MissingMoominMamma · 07/07/2023 07:17

Spottedsox · 07/07/2023 01:27

Exactly!
I will add...
People hate us to thin folk like we are all sick or injured lol. Naturally thin.
Better than a Lizzo any day.

Not better; just different.

Lizzo is pretty fit, despite her size.

She’s got bags of personality too.

LivinDaylights · 07/07/2023 07:19

Firstly 🤮. Look back at pics of her pre royal in her 20s, very plain Jane and not all that, she was also carrying a bit more weight, she did look better for that though. She has someone looking after every inch of her body now, she's clearly having botox, her teeth have been done too. She has these tweaks done over time so it isn't obvious but she's having a leg up, she's 41 with 3 kids and zero wrinkles? She has a team dressing her and money is no object. Her kids have a team of nannies so she isn't run ragged like most mother's juggling a ft job with 3 kids (I have similar age gaps for my kids but mine are 3 years younger I'm knackered). I think any average Joe would look that good with the amount of help she has, but yeah she looks pretty, she does come across as dull as dishwater though (her public parsona anyway, unless you know her personally you have no idea what she's actually like!).

meddysam · 07/07/2023 07:20

I've never seen a thread/commentary about how good Mick Jagger looks body wise? When people talk about him it's his success, songs, stage presence, dancing, philandering etc. No one ever says "how does Mick Jagger manage to be a massive rock star, a father & stay so slim?" 😆

LivinDaylights · 07/07/2023 07:21

Oh and I'll add I'm really slim too, but I'm short so don't look as thin even though I'm 6-8, so my comment on weight wasn't coming from a fat mother of 3 lol, just an observation.

lavenderlou · 07/07/2023 07:21

I think she's very beautiful and has all the qualities needed for her role. I wouldn't want to be her, or have my DDs growing up to be like her.

RoyalImpatience · 07/07/2023 07:22

She's a shining jewel in our royals esp compared to the royal bloods.
From a soley shallow pr pov. She's also never put a foot wrong generally although id like to know how welcoming she was to Megan.

However I'd love tp see her without the groomed hair sometimes in casual clothes getting the children etc. She aways looks so done.

Zanatdy · 07/07/2023 07:23

I think she’s lovely, seems genuine and is great at her role. She is thin, but not painfully or unwell looking. I’d imagine the pressure is immense for her, and she handles it so well. William did indeed choose his bride very well

I'm not saying it is to be lauded.

Just not picked on, that's all.

YABU. Could you not have kept your tedious brown nosing to The Royal Family board.
