Cook smoking at takeaway?

The person who owns and runs a takeaway near me is always smoking!
He smokes outside before starting the Cooking and sometimes in the evening between customers?
Would this give you the Ick and is it allowed?
Can you smoke and Cook for the Public?

It’s probably different on different devices and whether you’re using the app. But on my phone through safari / the web, you click on the ‘search’ button on the bottom right, and then on the next page, click on words ‘Advanced search’.

There, you can enter a username, and if you enter the word takeaway’, loads of threads come up, relating to the OP and takeaways. It’s quite 😳

My DP once gutted a chicken and smoked whilst doing it. Got food poisoning as a result and sat on the toilet for two weeks.

I worked in various restaurants from the age of 12, one particular place having new or agency chefs in every few months. I've only met a small handful of chefs who don't smoke.

You find most cooks smoke.....yabu of course you can. Don't eat out

I ate at a place in Japan, small bar, semi circle of counter around a chef cooking on a grill. The chef wasn't smoking but people at the counter were. You'd have had a heart attack OP!

For me, I'm in my 50's so can still remember the times when people could smoke virtually anywhere. It's good times have changed but some people take it too far!
