Are Shein clothes any good?

Just that really, I fancy a couple of the dresses but the prices seem quite low… is the quality not that great?

I’ve got a few things. They have been ok and as the sizing is online it’s helpful.

I don’t mind some of their stuff. Have had nice summer dresses and bikini sets.

I agree with a previous poster about shopping here to try save money

I ordered some boy’s clothes recently- and it was a mistake, have sent them all back. Cheap and nasty fabric, badly made. Never again!

In that article it says that for one dress, a worker will be paid around 47 cents. Awful!

I’d recommend watching the documentary The True Cost about fast fashion generally, it discusses this in more detail. There also have been horrendous exposés of Shein. They’re profiting from exploitation and abuse, mainly of a female workforce.

The last few items I ordered from them looked absolutely nothing like the pictures, so I returned them.
That said, I've had a few things from them that have been fine, so I think it's a bit hit and miss.
The returns are hassle free and they're quick to refund you though.

They make plastic clothing

I've bought a few bits and most are such good quality. Some can be a bit on the thin/sheer side so make sure to read reviews. If getting shoes go a size up I got a fab pair of knee boots that I wear all the time.

I bought one item and put it straight in the bin.

Why didn't you return it? The returns are free.

My teenage daughter has a few dresses and skirts from there. Some of it’s ok, some of it is crap.

If you're meticulous about checking the fabric, reviews and sizing info (on each individual product) then it's bloody brilliant.
After not having bought myself anything for years I've got a whole new wardrobe at a very low cost: combining points, discounts and coupons very specifically. My ideal clothing is goth though, so no idea how well it works out for general clothing. But lace, velvet, platform boots and shoes, nail powder and foils etc have worked out extremely well. Quality stuff, if you look carefully.

I’ve only shopped from there once, got a few summer dresses and a bikini and everything seemed reasonable quality for the price i paid. Better then boohoo.

Just to note as well, everything I've bought has survived several washes with no problems. The shoes and boots hold up very well (I walk a lot).

Not sure if the shein app is like Temu but apparently you should never download that as it gets all your data from your phone, even text messages and photos!

I've got friends who have had their designs stolen by them. So the pictures you're seeing are of clothes they're attempting to knock off.

I mainly shop second hand and there are some brands I won't buy even then, Shein included.

Their workers were found doing 18 hour days with 1 day off a month!
