Just bought some hotter sandals. They don't look that bad and are so comfortable @

I have three pairs of those Hotter fugly sandals. At last I am comfortable in my own skin and my have comfortable feet. I don't give a shite anymore about anyone's opinion. It's freeing and wearing fugly but comfortable shoes is to be recommended.

That’s the sandals you liked, the photos is the other colour way

Do Tevas get sweaty? I like Birkenstocks and they are fine for my feet, but I bought a quite trendy pair of (leather) sandals from topshop and, oh my god, I was slipping around in them like nobody's business! I don't even think my feet are unusually sweaty but it has been quite warm I suppose...

My feet don’t slide in Tevas and I have sweaty feet. 12 plus years Teva experience ☺️

Bamboozles · 25/06/2023 08:23

@ChrisPPancake
They're Hotter.

Bamboozles · 25/06/2023 08:28

@ChrisPPancake
Sorry I should have linked them. They were hard to find as the other colour way looks nothing like them 😃

Doyouthinktheyknow · 25/06/2023 08:32

They aren’t the height of fashion but comfortable and practical. Having fallen over and injured everything in some birkie style slip on sandals yesterday, I’m giving up and going for sandals with full support. Have teva walking sandals, might get a pair of those hotter ones too.

DeadButDelicious · 25/06/2023 08:38

My main pair of boots are the hotter whisper ones, they are comfortable, they fit well and they keep my feet warm and dry, that'll do. I'm of the opinion that I'd rather have comfortable, happy feet than worry about what's 'stylish', which is purely subjective anyway. I like crocs too and I live in my EVA Birkenstocks in the summer. They look like nice sandals OP!

I wonder if they come in black...

Just to add to the hotter love, I have these sandals in the gold and also the black. Had them a few years now and they are so comfortable. I have RA so am constantly searching for the perfect footwear.

I've been buying all my shoes from hotter for years. I have big wide feet and can't wear shoes from other shops.

I love the sandals and boots.

DeadButDelicious · 25/06/2023 09:27

Ooh! I quite like these!

It frustrates me hugely that most hotter sandals don't have leather or suede footbeds hence the sweaty and sliding problems.

Especially when they're not cheap.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/06/2023 09:36

Yes, I did wonder about the footbed. They seem to get dirty very quickly too. I was wondering if it might be possible to get some sort of insole for them.

MimiGC · 25/06/2023 09:45

I have to wear orthotics, so need a sandal with a closed heel. They are hard to find. Anyone got any good suggestions please?

continentallentil · 25/06/2023 09:50

Comfortable footwear is definitely a feminist issue.

Those sandals are fine. It’s how you wear them that will make the difference to whether they look good or not. (Should that matter to you.)

ownworstnme · 25/06/2023 10:11

They are that bad.

They just happen to have a couple of passable styles.

My 80yo MIL rocks her Hotters. I wouldn't be caught dead in a a pair.

LyndaSnellsSniff · 25/06/2023 10:20

I have phenomenally stupid feet. Fallen arches, bunions, aches and pains. In addition to this already attractive mix, if I wear sandals in the summer, I end up with a horrible rash under the straps.

It's a joy and one of the many reasons I view summer as an ordeal.

I don't think we'll ever achieve equality until we are able to prioritise comfort and practicality over fashion like men do. I like Hotter and also Heavenly Feet.

Or until other women (see post a few above yours) stop being so vile about people's choices and older women.

@ownworstnme let's have a look at your shoes then.

Lemevoir · 25/06/2023 11:34

I've had my red Hotter sandals for a few years and I love them - they are so comfortable and I think they look pretty good.

I've been wanting a pair in gold for ages so I was waiting for them to come down in price. I have to say, I'm disappointed 😞.

They've made the front strap wider and the gold colour doesn't go all the way to the edge - there's a border around the straps which looks weird. I don't know if this is just on the gold ones and if the other colours are OK.

So, with a heavy heart they are going back. I have ordered these from Moshulu. They don't have the adjustable toe strap, but hopefully they'll fit OK.

Wish they still came in red. I don’t like any of the other colours they currently do, apart from the black.

Sleepertrains · 25/06/2023 11:54

I just cannot understand why it is beyond the capability of hotter and other manufacturers to make something stylish AND comfortable, wide fitting, adjustable straps, leather footbeds, and so on Angry

Sleepertrains · 25/06/2023 12:03

These for example, are £690 from Aquazzura and stunning imo. What's to stop hotter making something like that with a cushioned, leather footbed, and straps wider with hidden velcro? For £50 🤣
