Minutes! It was a conversation about how we already knew we 'fit' and he said hed have to be crazy not to marry me at some point. He claims he was always serious on that, still.

Though it wasn't a 'proposal' we were together for a few years before we actually decided to marry. Only been married 11 years so far so early days as I keep saying.

Yes, they do. My stepdaughter’s just got engaged and it was huge for her. Of course some of us received our proposal in the 20th century.

We were married within 2 years of meeting/21 months of getting together. No proposal - like others we just knew we wanted to be together and get married. Honestly can't pinpoint when it was decided, it was just known. We got married more quickly in order to move abroad together but it had already been discussed and we would have probably have married 6 months later if we hadn't been travelling.

Together about 10 years before the wedding. Met as teenagers and neither of us wanted marriage before we did it. We grew up together and wanted to be sure we kept growing together rather than getting married because it was the ‘next step’. Late 20s when married.

I’m not sure if was a proposal as I told my now DH I wanted an engagement ring for Christmas . We’d been together just over three months that Christmas.

Just over a year. We will have been together just over 3 years when we finally get married next year!

Honestly we both knew almost immediately that we wanted to get married. Been together now for 30+ years, married for 28. I've been very, very fortunate (and happy!). Believe me, I know how lucky I am.
