Lots of threads on PS at the moment but I'd like to look a bit more closely at Dan Wootton the so called celebrity expert who is literally salivating over the Holly and Phil controversy. This is the man who writes horrible vitriol about celebrities daily. He stuck the knife into Caroline flack repeatedly. I'm not defending Phil, he's done wrong and the whole culture at ITV seems toxic but seriously? Is this ok? Do these people honestly want to push people to the very brink with their witch hunts?

I like Eamon Holmes and I think he has a relevant point to make but pairing up with Dan is just awful and cheap. Dan actually interviewed Kerry Katona recently who made many references to Caroline Flack (in a positive light) and Dan just sat there utterly barefaced as if he wasn't part of the media circus that pushed her to suicide.

It really seems like they won't be happy until Phil does something to harm himself at which point he'll probably change his tune and talk about what a great bloke he is. Utter utter scum.

I have no problem with Dan Wootton. Someone has to expose these low life’s. Either that or every one believing ‘This Mornings’ spin on it ie brave Phillip for coming out as gay/cheating on his wife for God knows how many years.

You don't know how he is really feeling. No one does. If he harms himself as a direct result of the abuse he gets online then the people who have been slagging him off online are at least partly to blame. Just because someone has behaved abominably doesn't mean that they are immune to online attacks. They can be driven to the brink by social media hate too, the same as anybody else. The shitty behaviour of a person does not justify online abuse.

I don’t care how he’s feeling. If he harms himself it will be because he can’t cope with the consequences of his own disgusting behaviour. If he or anyone else wants to blame others, let them. I have no fucks to give.

I’m not a fan but on the flip side isn’t it about holding people accountable for their shitty actions?

I'm less worried about PS committing suicide - because as others have said I think he's playing a card. However the young man is a different story, early 20s having his life dissected in public, being discussed as having been groomed/abused, name spread over social media, people looking up his LinkedIn and other accounts, etc etc. He's unlikely to ever work in TV again presumably something he aspired to as a young guy.

PS is an arse, but the more people like DW rake this story, the more that young man suffers too. And actually him potentially killing himself is something I think people should be worried about.

Using threats/implications of suicide to try to control what other people say and do is a classic tactic of abusive people. It’s an incredibly nasty one.

Schofield and his PR people who are so keen to use the spectre of Caroline flacks suicide to shield him from completely legitimate criticism should be utterly ashamed of himself. As should the people online doing their work for them.

If he’s suicidal, he should seek medical help. He has the means to do so privately. Instead he’s giving interviews to the press about it to try to paint himself as the victim.

Dan Wootton is an absolute cunt. Once he gets his teeth into someone he’s like a dog with a bone and won’t let go. It’s very telling that, within hours, of Caroline Flack’s death being announced all the articles that he, and other ‘journalists’ who wrote for the Scum disappeared.

Meghan Markle must be chuffed to bits about this PS scandal, at least he’s off her back for a bit.

He is disliked. But someone needs to call out these celebrities for their disgusting behaviour.

He’s a dreadful man. I know someone who used to work with him and said he was one of the worst people he’d ever worked with and loathed by the team (and no it wasn’t PS before anyone asks 😉).

Dan W and EH are horrible but they both tried to alert people to PS activities and were ignored so I don't blame them for milking it.

David Icke and Johnny Rotten were both banished from the BBC because they spoke out about Jimmy Saville.

Phillip Schofield is DARVO in action and I have zero sympathy for him.

The thing is with DW is that even though he knew he was happy to bury the story for the exclusive on PS coming out (being forced out) along with his former colleague Victoria Newton.

Dan Wootton being a prick is less if a concern against the moment that Philip Schofield grooming a child and ITV covering it all up. So Dan can crack on as far as I’m concerned.

Threatening suicide and comparing himself to others like Carolina Flack is a manipulation tactic used by many abusers to keep or gain back control. It’s a shame some people can’t see that. Schofield is still looking out for himself only, whilst pretending otherwise. It’s all about him as it inevitably is with his type.

Just because schofe is worse, doesn't mean the other 2 aren't absolutely grim.

I must admit I didn't know he was on the TV as well until this PS saga I thought he just wrote for the Daily Mail but yes he is awful.

to me it doesn’t matter on your opinion on the whole PS situation but it’s how everyone meaning the media and other celebrities pile on it doesn’t sit right with me in my opinion . Who decides what’s right and wrong ?
where is the proof he groomed anyone , they both deny it and even it’s true why is this all ok ? It’s not what would happen if tomorrow if he harmed himself? The media learn nothing I mean absolutely nothing. If he’s guilty then it needs investigating not guilty by media because unless you are PS or this lad you don’t know the truth .

Dan Wootton left ITV after disagreeing with the terms he was asked to work for. So not an impartial person one bit when it comes to this.

I would not send him to the US out of consideration for them.
