To ask why women do this?

I belong to a group of friends that are married. Three of them really dislike their husbands and offload about them at every opportunity. They don't divorce them even though they could as children have left home. I sort of understand that but don't understand why they go on holiday with them.

‘Cause some people prefer to remain miserable in what they know vs risking change and the unknown. Better the devil and all that.

We only have OP's word that these women really HATE their husbands and since she's gone from being friends with them in the first post to being persuaded to drop them after four or five posts then I'd take what she says with a pinch of salt.

We have however been granted the pleasure of yet another thread slagging off middle-aged women so that's always a bonus to a certain type
