When's summer? I can't believe it's June tomorrow. AIBU to be fed up with it. I just want some warmth to enjoy before we're back to putting the heating on.

It's a bit chilly today round London but we have had warm days this week. Yesterday was alright and I was a bit too hot on one of the days over the weekend.

HansInep · 31/05/2023 09:04

I’m surprised it’s not sunny in London? I’m on the south coast so not far away and we’ve had glorious sunshine for the last couple of weeks! Sunshine forecast for the next ten days at least too. Not boiling but sunny and T shirt weather, my favourite.

I live in central Scotland and it’s been gorgeous and sunny for days here. The weekend is fab and the tan is coming along nicely. Forecast is saying it’s to continue into the weekend. ☀️☀️☀️

mrsm43s · 31/05/2023 09:05

I'm in the SE, and it's been hot and sunny for a while. Yes, the wind can be quite chilly, and there's been the odd period of overcast, but generally it's been blue skies and hot sun for a week or two now. I got very sunburnt at the weekend!

Rockfordpeach · 31/05/2023 09:06

It's been beautiful in Dorset the last two weeks, suncream, BBQ and paddling pool weather

butterpuffed · 31/05/2023 09:07

In the south east , Kent . PP is right, very cold wind and not much sun till late afternoon .

IWonderWhereThatDishDidGo · 31/05/2023 09:07

It's a bit grey today, definitely but it's hardly blowing a gale! I haven't actually been outside yet though as I'm sick.

LittleFreakJezebel · 31/05/2023 09:08

It's been glorious on the Lancashire coast for the past 10 days, I didn't realise it wasn't everywhere but it makes a change that we are getting the nice weather!!

Paperlate · 31/05/2023 09:08

It was sunny on Saturday here. It's been grey and miserable ever since.

Overthebow · 31/05/2023 09:08

im not too far from London and the last weeks been great, todays not so good but it’s the first day for a while.

Overthebow · 31/05/2023 09:09

Most definitely have not needed the heating, had to put the fan on a couple of nights at the weekend as it was so warm at night!

IWonderWhereThatDishDidGo · 31/05/2023 09:10

There was a bloody great fire on some Surrey heathland yesterday partly due to warm weather. It isn't central heating weather at all.

SunnyEgg · 31/05/2023 09:10

The mornings are chillier but each day is quite nice. This week looks very sunny

No rain for days

HansInep · 31/05/2023 09:11

The forecast says it’s sunny in London too today and for the next ten days it shows? What weather have you been having op? Is it windy? Or do you prefer it warmer?

Applesinmyhouse · 31/05/2023 09:11

Weather app keeps showing 21/22 with sunshine then it drops to 18 and overcast with a bitingly strong wind. I’m fed up of feeling cold. I keep getting ill & sure it’s because my vit D is low. Everyone around here is walking around in shorts! I need 22 at least to feel warm. I wish I could afford a holiday somewhere hot. The longer this goes on for the more I’m seriously considering moving to India.

Sandsnake · 31/05/2023 09:11

We live in the south east and are used to the best of the weather in the UK (if you like dry and sunny). Got back from a few days with family in Dorset yesterday where we did not see a cloud. Glorious. Around Basingstoke it clouded over and that bloody cold wind started! Not fair, we live in the most expensive/ overcrowded part of the country - the nice weather is usually our compensation!🤪

Findyourneutralspace · 31/05/2023 09:12

Gorgeous here in the north west. Makes up for the perpetual rain.

YukoandHiro · 31/05/2023 09:13

Agree! I'm in London too. There have been a few good days but never more than one in a row. So grim to see the clouds and cool wind again this morning.

BUT.... it's supposed to be really nice for the next days. I'm going to try to enjoy every moment of sun this weekend!

shivermetimbers77 · 31/05/2023 09:13

I’m in London and it’s been lovely and sunny recently, apart from one day.. plus all the rain we had (and needed!) this spring has made everything so lush and green.

Paperlate · 31/05/2023 09:14

In fact it's raining here now. No sign of the sun at all.

orangeflags · 31/05/2023 09:14

South east here. Freezing cold windy. I've got a thick jumper on and resisting putting on the heating

Yes I’m not far from Basingstoke and while we have had a few nice days the wind has been really cold on others.

I have had to keep my bedroom window closed as the wind is so loud at night sometimes.

But yet it’s been really dry too so the garden is looking a bit dried out. Which I wouldn’t mind if we had had the weather to warrant it!

MrsSkylerWhite · 31/05/2023 09:15

A friend in North London told me that they’ve had a glorious few days?

Its fantastic here, too (NWcoast).

Your turn will come 😃

inky1991 · 31/05/2023 09:15

I kind of assumed the whole of the UK had been basking in sun the last 2 weeks. Glorious sunshine in Cornwall for a long time now

SunnyEgg · 31/05/2023 09:10

The mornings are chillier but each day is quite nice. This week looks very sunny

No rain for days

Unless you've got heavy drizzle...

Our forecast looked very pleasant but has now switched to heavy cloud, cold winds and hopefully brightening up by 4-5pm when it's too late to warm the house through naturally.

We've had a few t-shirt days, but not many and the start of May was cool and wet.

It's been a poor spring for us. Very little warmth. April was dull and cool too.
