To tell new lad this is my room

Ionlydrinkondaysendinginy · 23/05/2023 10:20

I know this is ridiculous but its really pissing me off Iv just started seeing someone new and he's been staying over and everything has been going great except I like to sleep with a fan on, the landing light on and the TV or something on my phone for background noise. he hates the fan and tv/phone being on he wants complete darkness and silence and wants to sleep with the window open. Aibu to tell him it's my room so it's tough 💩 how he likes to sleep.

Has the latest lad drunk alcohol when he's been with you, OP?
Because if he has, that is not helpful to you.

Does he do drugs at all?

I'm sorry for your struggles but it's very unusual for it not to be safe to have sex throughout a whole pregnancy. But would you really be surprised if your partner got it from somewhere else a year is a long time and I think its actually unfair to expect that of someone people have needs I couldn't do it and I wouldn't expect someone else to

Do you think people are just lying to you to wind you up? Can't you see that people are trying to give you some sense of what is normal?

I went without sex for three years after my first husband and I split up.
I had a few dates but no sex.

I eventually met my second husband and we knew each other for about three months before we had sex.
With a condom, naturally.
We also had STI checks before we decided not to use condoms. That was about eight months later.

We moved in together a year after that and got married. We've been together for 23 years now - and I am quite sure that he hasn't cheated on me - just as I know I haven't cheated on him.

Exactly. A strong, stable relationship is about a lot more than sex.

I think a lot of people are either in denial or lying about the realities of life. No I don't think its normal to not have sex for a year. No I don't think its normal to never have had a drink with your child around. I even think most people have been arrested at least once in their lifetime.

In the name of God.....................people have needs?

I am absolutely certain that my husband never "got it" from somewhere else - he respects me and our marriage too much to do that.

You need to raise your standards and expectations, OP.
This thread is a very depressing read.
