I’m just wondering who on earth cares? Can’t understand why this is such big news.

It's not an odd question in the context of the thread and the theme of people being treated the same

question asked -

Would you describe every man who watched porn at work 'scum'?

I don’t know what kind of shenanigans go on at your place of work but you’ve just presented it as something within the realms of normal. It’s really, really not.

Perhaps we do though?

Please stop it Clav. See if you can manage a post or two just about the government

This forum isn't a Labour social club you know.

Well she’s asking you to perhaps comment on the tories in power so clearly not.

I’m still not entirely clear why criticising the tories automatically means your Labour either?

Minecraftfield · 22/05/2023 17:12

Agree, I don't get the fuss really. She was still going to do the course, just wanted special treatment and they said no.
It's not like the chap who got his wife to take the points for him.
Disclaimer: don't know anything about her politics

You don't know anything about her politics? Do you live under a rock?

Oh dear. Am I kink shaming?

That's not exactly what I was thinking, although there are perhaps some similarities.

Does Suella approve of kink?

Youdon’t have to refer to him as scum, it’s still pretty incomprehensible that you’d feel inclined to defend him to someone who might choose to

I haven't defended his actions at all - I've stated I wouldn't describe him as 'scum' - and certainly not on social media. Would you describe every man who watched porn at work 'scum'?

Yes, yes I would. Along with anyone who tried to defend them. I may even be inclined to add a few more descriptors as well.

It was a hypothetical question - but apparently not that unusual;

@Clavinova your not keen on Labour?

You know i would never have guessed that.

Is it because they are not as hate filled as the Tories?

pointythings · 26/05/2023 22:57

The fact that many people watch porn at work doesn't make it right, does it? It's disgusting. The vast majority of porn is deeply exploitative. Describing the people who watch it as 'scum' is pretty accurate. It would be a dealbreaker for me in any relationship I might have in the future.

How else though will Tories check they know what a woman is and for?

Me too. I can’t imagine living with a man who thinks it’s OK. I’m quite shocked by Clav’s insouciance above it. I thought she was better than that.

About it, even.

You are gaslighting me - I haven't said it's ok at all - quite the opposite. I said I wouldn't label Neil Parish as 'scum' - it's not a word I use.

Is gaslighting posting more and more irrelevant links?

You're right it isn't.

The problem is you have done the typical tribal thing and assumed everyone moaning about current government is a Labour supporter and so instead of a greasing the current issues you attack Labour with whataboutery.

Whereas in reality some of us are swing voters and voted for this current bunch of incompetents.

In fact - that's what's more disappointing. When people you elected yourself behave this way.

As a swing voter you're actually doing nothing as an avid Tory to persuade me to vote Tory again. You've done nothing to show why this log can improve my life or country.

Instead you've shown my why 25 years ago if I'd voted Labour then I shouldn't have. (I wasn't in the country so didn't vote at all!)

From a swing voters point of view your actually an advert for voting Labour Grin

Oh, Telegraph readers (read: fanatical Tories) think she shouldn't resign.

Guess everyone else who thinks differently is wrong then. Hmm
Seriously, Clav? 1/10

Not just Telegraph readers either, but a tiny tiny minority of Telegraph readers, being the sub-subset who care enough about SB to contribute to the vote on her .

Rhondaa · 27/05/2023 08:15

'Is gaslighting posting more and more irrelevant links?'

Clav consistently posts relevant links to refute the often silly comments on these threads.

I know it must sting, it is horribly inconvenient but it is indeed more 'relevant' than rattling on like a broken record about kids birthday parties.
