How lucky for you and your children that private education is an option for you.
I also dislike both, in case that wasn't clear.
But I don't expect to like the Tories.
I was looking forward to being able to vote Labour under Keir Starmer but now I feel unable to vote for anyone. Women's rights and child safeguarding are absolute red lines for me.
I've been wanting to get the Tories out for 13 years. But it's not my job to get the Tories out by voting Labour. (Not that it would make any difference in my constituency anyway.) It's Labour's job to get the Tories out by coming up with popular, achievable policies that a majority of voters support. I'm utterly appalled that they seem to care more about a tiny minority of rainbow flag shagging ideologues (including some actual convicted rapists) than they do about ordinary women and children.
They have forgotten who, and what, the Labour Party is for. That is why they are not in power.
They will win the next election by default because everyone is so sick of the Tories, and they will use that advantage to bring in policies which put women and children at risk, despite the fact that they must know a majority of people do not support these policies.
That is unforgiveable.
And I am certainly not going to vote Labour and then be told that I voted for all this stuff, just like all those remainers who voted Labour in the hopes of getting a soft Brexit or a second referendum only to be told that they were part of the 80% who voted to get Brexit done.
I'm sure they'll win, but they can do so without my help.
