Why is it ok to be violent and insulting to a woman who makes a mistake.

whatisgoingonintheworld · 10/05/2023 14:26

A female calls a person 'lady' in error because she thought the person was female. The person identifies as non binary. The trans manager then verbally insults and finally physically assaults the woman and the man outside.

Is this really what we have come to. A simple word and the non binary is upset and so the trans person can kick a customer from the shop, purposefully insult and then assault.

So is misgendering (even by accident) so serious it merits verbal abuse and physical violence? I mean it isn't even obvious whether the person she called 'lady' behind the counter is non binary, looks female. The trans woman manager looks male and certainly acts it!

Why are so many trans women displaying what was formally seen as masculine traits (violence) now that they identify as female.

So basically the tall person who was annoyed that the woman referred to the short person behind counter as 'lady' as in 'I was speaking to that lady' and then the tall person thinks that is good enough reason to verbally and physically abuse the woman.

I see more details came out and despite numerous people attempting to defend the tall person, it appears the tall person was quite violent and therefore rightfully sacked. When the TRA feed a line that if someone misgenders you then it's an assault and you can be violent towards them (as per their t-shirt messages) then you wonder why people stand up for them.

"This is the latest on what happened (from various sources)

Man and woman went to get 2 drinks and a cake totaling about £10

Man waited outside, woman went in and ordered. She was served by a short person who, to her, looked to be of the female sex.

Woman wanted to pay with cash but was told by short person serving her that card only payment. Woman complained that she didn't like the 'no cash' policy but paid by card.

Tall person who was the manager intervened in the conversation. Woman said I wasn't talking to you I was talking to that lady.

Tall person kicked off because it turns out the short female person identifies as non binary.

Man waiting outside sees it kicking off so starts to record

Video shows the rest

After video, the police were called and woman reported that Tall person had refused a refund, tipped the contents of her bag out and physically carried her out of the premises. Tall person then slammed the door shut so hard that the glass smashed. Tall person then ran away from the scene.

Outcome - Tall person sacked, police investigation ongoing, man and woman went on holiday. Woman has still not been given a refund for her £10"

I'd love to see the full footage from Starbucks' security cameras.

I bet that's recording they'll keep well under wraps.

Why are so many trans and non binary folk so entitled, abusive and misogynistic? Why them specifically, more so than regular men. Why do they seem to have a chip on their shoulder? Every time you see them on any platform, they are shouting hysterically, accusing others of stuff, using ridiculous analogies like misgendering people is like genocide. What mid actually going on here?

The result of being pandered to everywhere, social media, schools, universities, having the Police jump to your command over a Tweet, being told they are the most oppressed and vulnerable, basically being allowed to get away with their abusive, entitled behaviour.

It was always going to escalate into incidents like this and worse and the public was always going to reach a tipping point and bite back.

Emotionalsupportviper · 11/05/2023 09:59

Unfortunately that public bite back is going to hit genuinely dysphoric people, and LGB people a LOT harder than it is going to hit a bunch of attention-seeking narcissists who will just flip genders back when it suits them to do so.

StarbucksKaren · 11/05/2023 10:13

I hope not. @Emotionalsupportviper Hopefully the public bite back will just address things like compelled speech, misogyny, safe spaces, safeguarding (including consent to gender reassignment) etc

Because we've (not us but ykwim) created a special group that's more important than anyone else and opened it up for any entitled person to join. Politicians like Starmer, Nandy, Thornberry, Khan, Nicholls, Davey, Sturgeon, Drakeford, Rees Moyle and many more along with religious figures like Welby, plus police and so on are utterly obsessed with this niche issue. It's beyond ridiculous and there's an absolute disconnect with normal life because it's a social media phenomenon. Dancing, tulip mania, alien invasion - this is just the latest craze.

So the trans dude was basically spoiling for a fight. Kind of sums up how some of these people behave generally. Always playing the victim and looking for a fight.

Tall person was very likely previously on TikTok at every break time fuelling anger by watching anti-Karen memes.

Lots of people haven't caught on yet, they turn a blind eye to the things you mention below and say nothing to see here because it doesn't affect them yet. The more self entitled, self obsessed and the TRA bang on with their message and want all women to just rollover because that's what some women do. The ones that say nothing to see here think they are special and looking out for diversity, they aren't.

"Tell that to sports women losing to men. Or women incarcerated with violent males. Or women forced to use changing rooms with men. Or women raped in hospital wards by men. Or even just women having to put up with being referred to as cervix havers and chest feeders. Not to mention all the autistic girls encourages to have their breasts removed and pump themselves full of testosterone.

Just because you aren't bothered by the encroachment of trans ideology on women's rights,@izimbra, doesn't make you some kind of special, superior human being. It makes you wilfully blind and stupid."

Maybe you should be asking yourself why the Daily Mail and mumsnet are so obsessed with trans issues, and feel so victimised by them, given that in material terms the existence of trans women makes bugger all difference to the rest of us.

I’ve never been raped or had a close family member murdered or killed by drink driving. I don’t need to worry if I can feed my kids tonight or how much longer I need to wait for an operation. So why should anyone worry about these things? It makes bugger all difference to me!

But an incident of a person being a dickhead in a coffeeshop isn't any of those things is it?

How lucky for you @izimbra !

That you are 57 and have not yet understood why Mumsnet of all places is somewhere where parents discuss their concerns about the impact of policies and laws that prioritise gender over sex where sex is important to the decision.

That you don’t have children impacted by these issues. That you don’t have a child questioning their gender because of stereotypes. That you don’t have a child attending a school with gender neutral toilets so is not drinking water so that they don’t have to use the toilet or is refusing to go to school on days they have heavy periods. How lucky you are that your girl doesn’t play sport where there is a likelihood of a male competing and winning?

How lucky you are not to have children asking to go on puberty blockers and take cross sex hormones because that is what they have read on the internet that will change their sex.

It sounds like you have little knowledge about the ‘trans issues’ you scoff that Mumsnet is ‘obsessed’ about. The reality is, our concern is not ‘trans issues’ they are the ‘needs of women and children issues’. But do crack on with your particular uninformed framing, does it make you feel better?

Doesn't matter really, my opinion doesn't change whether an incident in a coffeeshop was any of the things described above.

OneTC · 11/05/2023 14:30

If it saves you trawling my posts I would be considered GC to the point of being transphobic by many. I disagree with men in women's spaces, sports, single sex areas, crisis centres, prisons. I believe men as a class are inherently violent and that crimes should be recorded by biological sex so as not to distort the true picture.

But my views on this don't mean I view some random individual on the internet as anything other than a random individual on the internet.

And I stated earlier that a video that starts half way through isn't enough for me to form an opinion, and that getting violent is wrong.

It’s all part of the same thing. Male aggression and riding rough shod over women. And some excusing it

I’m not interested in looking at anyone’s past posts but I do think this is just more of the same. The man thinks he can get angry, physically so and denigrate with slurs because he is facing a woman

"You're being transphobic Karen, you're calling me a man"... He is a man though? A misogynistic one at that, calling her "Karen".
Sadly, if Starbucks tried to fire him (as they should), I imagine he'll try to make out it's discrimination. Ridiculous attar of affairs.

No doubt he will turn up on tv or in some reality show having been made a star out of abusing a woman. After all, misogyny is now an international mandate for the left. And a national sport too.

Kier Starmer thinks some women have a penis, and his party bullies female MPs and hound them for speaking up for women.
The leader of Welsh nationalists was just forced out after his party was found to have a culture of misogyny and sexual harassment against women.
We all know where SNP stand on women’s rights. And the reason for Nicola Sturgeon’s downfall. Although to be fair, she had to go because of the rather reason too. Rotten to the core.

He's already been fired.

I swear some people thrive off playing the victim and making stuff up just so they can be offended by their own imagination.

purpleboy · 11/05/2023 18:33

I'm glad this vile bully got sacked. He was completely out of order, you cannot behave that way to anyone worse if your a manager and that was your customer.
Typical male violence really.
