It’s a bloody disgrace that the right of protest is being eroded.
I’m a member of Republic and this was the email sent yesterday:
I'm here with the Republic team on Trafalgar Square, getting ready for Republic's protest tomorrow. We will be there from 6am and we're expecting to see protesters arrive from 8am and on through the morning.
We continue to be inundated with media requests from around the UK and around the world. We are still seeing new polls come out that show falling support for the monarchy.
They said the coronation would unite people behind the monarchy, but tonight the debate is about its future and whether it can survive in the long term. I'll be on the BBC this evening at around 8pm to discuss just that.
The dominant theme of coverage has been the falling poll ratings and widespread apathy. The coverage has been more muted (but still too much!) than previous royal events, and republicanism has made its mark over the past few weeks.
That's all down to your amazing support, without which we cannot campaign.
If you're coming to Trafalgar Square tomorrow, I look forward to seeing you there. If you're taking action elsewhere, have a great time and let us know how things went. If you're taking the weekend off, enjoy!
We will win this campaign. I've never been more confident of that.
Bye for now!

The team is flat out with media interviews and getting ready for the protest on Saturday. The police have again been very clear that they will not get in the way of our protest, as they have been in all the meetings we've had with them over the last few weeks.
So now the scene is set for a strong protest with a clear message: we need an election, not a coronation. We need a choice, not Charles.
£250m paradeCharles is already king, he doesn't need a coronation. Yet he has insisted on this archaic parade at a cost to the taxpayer of an estimated £250m.
This is a celebration of hereditary wealth and privilege, during a cost-of-living crisis. No wonder only 9% of the country are enthusiastic about it.
One poll for ITV showed support for keeping the monarchy had dropped as low as 52%. Other polls put support for abolition over 30%.
There has never been a better time to campaign for a republic. Republic's protest will be the first time a major royal event has been met by a significant anti-monarchy protest. We aim to use the opportunity to kick-start a major debate on the future of Britain's democracy.
Coming to London?Get to Trafalgar Square as early as you can between 8am and 1pm. Wear yellow if you can. Bring a placard or banner if you want to, we'll have a few hundred to give out.
There will be speeches - including from Clive Lewis MP - music and some very loud chanting of 'Not My King!' We're going to be joined by campaigners from the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Australia and Eswatini/Swaziland.
You'll have a great time!
Can't get to London? There are events in Edinburgh, Cardiff and elsewhere. Check out the events page for more details.
There are also things you can do at home or in your local area. See the Action Pack for details.
Get on social media and join the debate!
Share photosIf you're at a busy shopping centre, on a crowded beach or in a long queue for a tourist site this Saturday, get a photo and share it with us, either email it to [email protected] or tweet it to @RepublicStaff. We want a snapshot of what the other 93% of the country are doing.
Let's make this moment count!
And don't forget, tell your friends to join, donate and sign the petition!
Bye for now!
