Mine is that Derren Brown’s dad was my swimming teacher when I was in primary school.

I was in the top set too, only time I’ve ever been any good at a sport!

Whats yours?

I once dated a singler/actor.

Troye Sivan mentioned me (not by name) in an interview and called me hot, I would literally throw my own husband under a bus for him, so I will never forget it.

Vicky McClure used to live on our street growing up, she was one of the children I used to play with.

@PickledPurplePickle
if you are Sarah Koenig you are my idol

NeedToKnow101 · 27/04/2023 06:02

My ex-colleague dated Jerry Dammers for a while. Or did he just ask her out and she declined? I can't remember.

Jewelanemone · 27/04/2023 06:03

I once trod on Tom Baker's toe. Nicholas Lyndhurst asked me to go clubbing with him (I was about 15 and said no, thank you). Finally, I had Sharron Davis's old Latin books at school.

I was in the year above Jools Oliver at school

I was 4 years below Dexter Fletcher in my school.

Kindledino · 27/04/2023 06:13

My mum used to work with someone whose son knew Orlando Bloom, even went to his wedding.

Dave Benson Phillips carried my brother to the First Aid area at Chessington.

I had a boyfriend who lived in the flats in London that they used for Grimmauld Place in the Harry Potter films.

I once was in a department store in NYC and we were waiting for the lift. The doors opened, and there was dawn french! The lift was full so we didn't get in

awakeeveeynight · 27/04/2023 06:20

Barry from Eastenders borrowed my parent's tent.

JackiePlace · 27/04/2023 06:22

My Mum's cousins were pop stars in the 70s.

I was the model for Mary in a prominent church stained glass window. The resemblance is striking. I've not yet been to see it as the church is in another part of the country, but it's on my list of things to do, perhaps with DC. It was strangely comforting at the time, as it was during a particularly dark time of my early 20s when I was far from virginal or pure. It sort of felt like a little nod from God, that somewhere there was a better version of me waiting. I wonder now whether the artist thought it was a good piece of subversion, selecting a real life Mary Magdalene to represent the Mother of God.

I whacked Richard Attenborough in the shins with a big hard suitcase on the baggage carousel in Edinburgh Airport in 2005

cptartapp · 27/04/2023 06:35

I did my nurse training with the cousin of the lead singer of The Farm (Groovy Train!).
Sports pundit Mark Lawrenson's sister was our PE teacher back in the 80's.

OhComeOn123 · 27/04/2023 06:42

My friend once had a friend who knew someone who shagged a famous footballer's son who once revealed in an interview that he had dinner with Michael Jackson.

So I am officially associated with Michael Jackson. Obviously 😃

SoupDragon · 27/04/2023 06:49

I have high fived a rapper's family dog.

I have been bathed by a Fulham player's wife (many years ago 😂)

I am distantly related to the bass guitarist from 70's "Glam Rock" band Mud.

My tenuous link to someone famous is for obvious reasons something I keep quiet 🤫 about, to myself,

I met years ago quite a notorious well known individual, nowadays, who did a hideous painting 🖼 of the late Queen, and also was once in contrast to his reputation seen as a national treasure in uk,
He has eccentric persno, well known for his quirky songs too from 60s era orginally, and his love of nature especially animals , where he has lived before ,there are fair few unique quirky animals,
one in particular certainly gets around in a unique quirky manner, pretty nifty on their feet
His fall from grace in the blink in the eye 👁 was...

I came across him as he was V.I.P guest of a new back then birdlife nature sanctuary place /discovery Centre

He seemed friendly personalable just like on small screen

My daughter was in brownies group, so we came there to vist with other big wigs and interested parties seeing the centre open

pissingglitter · 27/04/2023 06:59

I was at a hotel in London and Matt Damon held the door open for me and when I was at the cinema with my daughter, I saw Princess Diana coming out of the ladies

iloveeverykindofcat · 27/04/2023 07:06

Once I was personally insulted by Jordan Peterson. That's going on the CV.

This is beautiful! I’d love to know which church?

My tenuous claim to fame is that I was at school with the son of a member of Black Sabbath, and went to his house without in the slightest realising who his dad was.

Also I used to work in a music shop and have in my time served a well known contemporary composer, and someone who was the soloist for the Last Night of the Proms.

SoCunningYouCanStickATailOnItAndCallItAFox · 27/04/2023 07:10

I once shared, with my friend, a flat in Salford quays whose previous owner was Johnny Briggs (played Mike Baldwin in Coronation Street). Rumour has it the flat was his shag pad for him and his mistress. He left behind the floor length velvet curtains when my friend bought it. So we lived with Mike Baldwin's curtains.

Hippywannabe · 27/04/2023 07:10

James Martin has cooked in my kitchen.
I appeared in an article with Lorraine Kelly in a health magasine.
I was photographed at a buffet table with the Cheeky Girls and the photo appeared in Smash Hits magasine.

FeeFiFoFumble · 27/04/2023 07:11

I know one of Lenny Kravitz's cousins.

They've never met him.

Clarinet1 · 27/04/2023 07:12

When I was 5 and had just started school a nice man came to my school and had Sooty and Sweep glove puppets and I sat on his knee and interacted with them a bit and sang a little song. I didn’t realise that the things in front of me were television cameras and I ended up on TV later. The trouble was my DM only heard about it when colleagues mentioned it to her and neither of us ever saw it but the man was David Frost!

LetMeGoogleThat · 27/04/2023 07:15

An ex boyfriend had a flatmate who dated Cerys Mathew's and she used to sometimes be at his flat when I was there.
