I hate the Lyoyds bank one too, and I hated the one before too. I hate the way the "inspirational" music kicks in. It just seems so fakely worthy.

It's not as bad as the daisy daisy daisy and though. Nothing's that bad.

to be fair all perfume ads are rubbish!

Chanel Christmas with Marion Cotillard is my favourite Christmas advert.

FairAcre · 25/04/2023 08:22

There Is so much effort going in to making Ads politically correct these days that they seem to have lost the ability to make them catchy, amusing and appealing.

Can't stand any of the Verisure ads. The acting is beyond terrible on all of them!

Crikey, yeah! How did I forget them?

What a smug git he is (the first Verisure ad, I think).

I'd love to smack him in the face with a wet packet of sh*t!

I can't watch the denture advert with the couple on the date eating burgers. His flashing teeth are too scarily white.

Which one is wearing dentures?
It makes you feel like punching them both in the mouth to find out.

I hate the add for pads where its 2 menopausal women at yoga talking about their bulky pads, as you do, and at the end one of them says I'm letting it all go and you know she's peeing herself. Yuck in the extreme!!!

I thought it was just me that hated this one! Who the hell just sits and pisses themselves on purpose in the middle of a yoga class! It’s insulting

StupidFaces · 26/04/2023 07:19

The life insurance ones are awful

“Luckily when dad died he’d taken out this amazing insurance, it was enough to pay for his funeral with enough left over for us to renovate our house! Win win!”

They all seem buzzing that their loved ones have died

Denise82 · 26/04/2023 07:20

This is how I know I watch too much Netflix and Hayu, because I've not seen any of the adverts mentioned on here 🤣

Johnny Depp burying his jewellery in the desert anyone?!

icelollycraving · 26/04/2023 07:27

Dh works from home now, he has the tv on ALL DAY. He likes back ground noise. I’ve told him the ads target either elderly people close to death or mums on mat leave. All the cremation/ life insurance/ funeral plans are horrible.
The Tesco creepy woman is horrific and the Asda one is just stupid. The optician one is also weird.
I don’t mind daisy, looks a bit cultish.

yes, and how does he plug in his electric guitar?

hellswelshy · 26/04/2023 07:36

Worst one for me recently is the Dominies one where she keeps saying the word 'quid' - small pizzas for ten quid, medium for twelve quid etc...aaaargh stop it, just say pounds!!
But my favourite is the washing powder one where they all dramatically sing 'where is the sun?' opera style - that's how I feel atm!! 😂

hellswelshy · 26/04/2023 07:37

*Dominoes not Dominies??

Rosula · 26/04/2023 07:58

Those Daisy girlies are just utterly vacuous. But it's the We buy any cars ones are the ones that have me diving for the remote.

To be fair that campaign did result in the greatest bit of graffiti Britain has ever produced!

That is advertising gold🤣🤣

HalloumiFries · 26/04/2023 08:36

The Asda ad is utterly bizarre and the Tesco one is so creepy I have to dive for the remote when it comes on. Daisy is my favourite perfume so I can't fully dislike the ad but there are two adverts which really grind my gears.

Some holiday company - I can never be bothered to pay attention to find out who is advertising - where a dad and adult daughter are on holiday together. The advert is shot from the pov of the daughter and she's constantly eye-rolling and mocking her dad for behaving like a big kid. FFS, the man is enjoying his hard earned holiday - it looks like an amazing experience in a far flung location and he's making the most of every minute. She starts mocking him for being excited to see a turtle - they are incedible creatures and it's a real joy and privilege to get up close to one. She's such a joyless diva and I would hate to be around her.

The second one is the pepsi advert which they show at the cinema (at least I've never had the misfortune of hearing/seeing it from my sofa yet). As someone who suffers from misophonia, I utterly can't bear it. A really annoying voiceover making the "sounds of pepsi" (pop pop fizzzz fizzzz glug glug) and then the close up of the person's mouth at the top o the can at the end. I used to sit with fingers in my ears and eyes closed when it came on - now I've realised that it comes on after the trailers and before the main feature so I time a uick loo break to escape completely.

icelollycraving · 26/04/2023 11:08

Oh the one I really hate is the deeply unappealing family on an all inclusive. They would put me off ever booking with them, they are the very type of family I’d dodge.

Funkyslippers · 26/04/2023 12:32

StupidFaces all those life insurance/funeral adverts have actors not real people and it's sooo obvious and false!

Oh yeah I know it’s actors but it’s so stupid, as if you’d be counting the money left over from life insurance with a big grin on your face when your parent has just died!

well I suppose some people would but it hardly a common reaction 😂

StupidFaces · 26/04/2023 13:55

just thought of another one.

Bloke goes to neighbours house “I’ve just got a new security alarm”

“shit, I need to buy one immediately, I’ll call them right away”

fuck off

LovedFedAndNoonesDead · 27/04/2023 06:21

I find the “don’t forget us (xx charity) in your will” adverts very grabby and distasteful and they seem to be increasing at the moment.

Also hate the “ooh, Derek, this just got posted to my house by mistake” Sunlife insurance adverts especially the parsnip one.

As others have said the Marc Jacobs “Daisy” advert or just plain annoying, which is a shame as I love Daisy Dream perfume.

Was recently catching up on tv I’d recorded over Christmas and it included classics like the massive Woolworth production ads where they had loads of celebrities walking round a massive Woollies pointing out potential gifts like a Bontempi keyboard; a Brut gift set and real imitation leather ladies handbags - they were advertising gold and I still remember them 40+ years on!!

AutumnCrow · 27/04/2023 06:45

Thank you for explaining what the Asda ad is supposed to be about because I hadn’t got the faintest idea.

Lulu1919 · 27/04/2023 06:51

I am very irritated with the Tesco one where the shopping trolley secure a man from a well with a string of sausages

pussycatinfluffyslippers · 27/04/2023 07:40

The holiday ad with the kids and the girls icecream drops on the floor makes me really angry.
Every time I tell her to shove his icecream up his nose.
