My worst one at the moment is Lloyds Bank, the horses ones, particularly the 'this girl is on FIRE!' one as it's on ITV X alllllll the time. Their advertising budget for telly must be huge, it's on every ad break.

The We Buy Any Car ones- genius ad, what an earworm, yes annoying but give that ad exec a raise, great marketing.

I can't watch the denture advert with the couple on the date eating burgers. His flashing teeth are too scarily white.

It's the way they don't sit opposite each other like two people would do at a table like that in the middle of a room, and the way she's sitting blocks a good bit of access to the table right behind her that annoys me about that one.

‘Mondays are working for meeeeeee’ it’s like an overly camp school musical, it’s also on Local radio but at least i don’t have to see it 💩

Whatevergetsyouthroughthenight · 24/04/2023 20:43

Bring back Flat Eric.

and that petty chap, going on about 25p worth of milk in the bowl on the nationwide ad 🤯but I don’t mind the baconaisse couple

Pinkstars2501 · 24/04/2023 21:09

Yes! I had this conversation with DH.
It's basically that old "joke" of where's your dad/husband, back soon? "Oh he popped out to the shop for milk, he's been out for years so...."

Odd!

OooWhatAWhopper · 24/04/2023 21:11

I like the Daisy ad 🙈

I loathe the Flash ads with that white dog.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 24/04/2023 21:18

That Asda ad is so weird!!! Like, didn't anyone report the bloke missing?? Did he sleep all those years, or eat??

I hate the Marc Jacobs ones, Perfect......fuck off. Why do they all look so peculiar? Garish make up and crazy clothing?

My fave advert (and I can't remember what it's for) is the Highland cow riding the motorbike, because I LOVE Highland cows 😁

I actually like this Lloyd's bank advert. The powerful backing track helps!

tobee · 24/04/2023 22:02

As a contrast I like the advert with the women having a bad daydream running her egg cafe and the big chickens. There's a bit with a bloke looking intimidated as they walk behind him; I think his expression while eating a boiled egg amuses me!

Can't stand any ad with a slow, whimsical version of a well known song. Mawkish.

chocolatemademefat · 24/04/2023 22:22

The ad for Supernoodles where the old woman has a donkey on her back. WTF????

Ducksurprise · 24/04/2023 22:27

JauntyJinty · 24/04/2023 13:04

The one I think is odd at the moment is a radio one for a mobile company (Can't rememebr which one so the ads not doing it's job!). The guys is talking on the phone and his daughter is talking to him - what they're saying makes 1 conversation - the daughter thinks the dads speaking to her but he's actually replying to the person on the phone.

The tag line is something like "you really can do it all with ___ mobile"

But...he's not doing it all! He's just ignoring his daughter in favour of his work call!

Agree, the advert is awful. I can't see how it was agreed.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 25/04/2023 06:54

One that annoys me at the minute is a radio one for subway. They keep repeating the price “what, £5.49?” “yes £5.49” “all this for £5.49” “only £5.49!”
then right at the end, the speedy voiced terms and conditions woman says “selected stores only, prices may vary”
WHAT’S THE FUCKING POINT OF THE ADVERT THEN?

WhatTheHeckyPeck · 25/04/2023 07:13

The one that really wound me up (I haven't seen it for a while so I think it's been stopped), was the Cravendale ad

"It's NOT milk", all the way through and at the end "Cravendale filtered/unfiltered/whatever, milk"...So it IS fucking milk then!!!

IHeartGeneHunt · 25/04/2023 07:21

I don't mind the Daisy one, they look like they're having fun. I do hate anything with a softly-sung, ie ruined, version of a perfectly good song.
I hate the Heinz beans one where she runs to the shop in her dressing gown.

payaklw · 25/04/2023 07:30

Can't stand any of the Verisure ads. The acting is beyond terrible on all of them!

Emmamoo89 · 25/04/2023 07:31

Roz22 · 24/04/2023 15:54

I am in disbelief every time I see it as it has simply put me off ever buying anything by Marc Jacobs (if I was so inclined to splurge), not just the perfume.

My favourite perfume!

ssd · 25/04/2023 07:36

I hate the add for pads where its 2 menopausal women at yoga talking about their bulky pads, as you do, and at the end one of them says I'm letting it all go and you know she's peeing herself. Yuck in the extreme!!!

ssd · 25/04/2023 07:37

And I'm menopausal and have bladder issues but I'm still shouting at the telly Go to the fucking toilet

CeratopsofthePharoahs · 25/04/2023 07:39

"Granny, I got the job!"

Good for you love, now bore off.

MagpiePi · 25/04/2023 07:41

The Haribo one with the two policemen in a car. Creeps me out

Also, a holiday one - Jet2? "Baby hold my hand.." with the woman dragging her partner round while he films her.
