For going out the front of a premiere inn, in my plad pjs ! Am I really ?! There was no1 around, I put a long cardigan over the top of them!

Ha! I knew he hadn't read any. Also Hufflepuff is the inclusive House so we might vape outside in our pj's.
I dont think you should take anything your husband says seriously until he has read the books.

@pjclown usually being judgy is frowned on by MN, mustn't judge people's DC, weight, clothes whatever BUT as soon as you mention smoking/ vaping it's open season. If you're decently covered then a quick vape is hardly a sin. Tell your DH if vaping in your Pjs is the worst thing you'vve done he's been a very lucky man 😂

Well, sorry, but I don't think you were being ridiculous but I do think you ought to give up vaping. It's all very well saying it's your 'vice' but it is harmful and a poor example for your kids to see. And if I'd seen you vaping at that time outside I'd have thought Good God, she can't wait to puff on that disgusting stuff.

Yeah you have to go outside the same as a cigarette, which is fine obviously as it's still other people breathing it in etc, but apparently not acceptable in my pjs!

My DH not only did this at a hotel, but he left his key in the room and reception didn't open until 7am.
He managed to find a McDs and when he got to counter the lass offered him info on homeless shelters 😂😆
He is still trying to live this down and no he has not stopped vaping.
So no YANBU and you are not ridiculous.

I’d be more understanding if you went out for a cigarette rather than a vape. Can’t stand either but feel like the cigarette is the lesser of two evils.

Well I’d judge someone vaping at 06:30 outside a Travelodge in their PJs. Not for wearing the PJs as such, but for being so desperate to vape that it couldn’t wait until they were dressed.

I object to having to breathe in your vape or someone's fag smoke.

Both are disgusting.

I doubt people who vape have any real idea of how foul it smells to anyone else who happens to be walking past you.

Feel sorry for your kids as I bet you vape in their company.

Vaping outside a Premier Inn at 6.30am in your PJs is about as chavvy as it gets I’m afraid. I’m with your DH. It’s akin to seeing people outside a hospital having a fag whilst hooked up to an IV drip. Looks bloody dreadful.

I’m forever outside in my pjs, I have a very impatient Labrador. I buy plain black jersey bottoms rather than plaid so it’s not so obvious.

Correct.

But vaping does hurt someone else.

I've had to walk behind vapers on crowded pavements (impossible to walk past them) and got caught in their disgusting vape all over my hair and clothes.

It's also hurting the OP's kids, as they will breathe in the vape at home I guess, or when she's walking with them. The risk is they will either take that up or smoking (as she says her H does sometimes.)

It's about having standards @Jojobalone, and instilling them in your children.
Vaping outside a public place in pjs to me is skanky. I make no apologies for thinking it. I wouldn't pass comment to the person or make a comment to anyone else, just think it. But seeing as the OP asked, I have given my opinion.
