For going out the front of a premiere inn, in my plad pjs ! Am I really ?! There was no1 around, I put a long cardigan over the top of them!

But going outside in pjs is fine for this.

I think the most Mumsnet thing about this thread is that people pretended they didn't know what "plad" was because it was missing one letter, "oh you meant plaid" and have gone on to give us the origin of the word 😅😅😅

I don't think there's a concensus. "Plad" might be correct if you're hung up on pronouncing Gaelic words correctly (I'm not) but it's not an Americanism.

As to the topic of the thread- yes I'd judge but tbh, getting addicted to vaping at all is pretty daft.

If my DH described me as ridiculous in anything other than a jokey/affectionate way, I’d be furious. It’s incredibly demeaning.

I don’t think what you did was ridiculous but yeah I’m afraid I’d be part of the judgy crowd (6.30am, in your PJs, in public, getting your nicotine hit. Not a great look). I’m with the poster who hopes this puts teenagers (my own included) off vaping.

Yes it is addictive. The vapes contain nicotine. Nicotine is addictive but it's not nicotine which causes the harm done by cigarettes so supposedly less dangerous.

The jury is I think still out on whether there are long term health risks of vaping. It doesn't however seem to me to be a good idea to become addicted to anything.

In environmental terms, vaping is adding to single use plastic.
