I get a lash lift every 6ish weeks and my nails done when I'm off work.

I get an expensive (£210) treatment on my hair twice a year that makes it much easier to manage.

That's it but my DP thinks it's excessive?!

I really don't think it is? What do you get?

Hhhhmmmmmmmmmm · 07/04/2023 17:40

Nails every 3 weeks £30
2 blow drys a week £20 each
colour every 4 weeks £70
brows every 3 weeks £15
lash lift every 6 weeks £30
facial every 4 weeks £30
Pedi shellac toes every 6 weeks £30
Botox £170 every 6 months
Laser hair removal £140 - just maintenance now so maybe once or twice a year

Ozempic £160 every 4 weeks

Didnt realise how much all this cost until I just wrote it down 🫠😫

I used a root spray for a week as I missed my last colour appointment so may start using that to drag my colour out a little longer, could possibly get another week or so out of my brows, facial and pedi but absolutely can’t sacrifice my nails or blowdrys. Also almost at my target weight so onto my last pen of Ozempic (providing I keep it off!)

FabFitFifties · 07/04/2023 17:47

Haircut and blow-dry every 6 weeks £30.Nil else.

doomkittycleo · 07/04/2023 18:05

I pay about £40 to get my hair cut about 2-3 times per year, but that’s it.

I don’t have my eyebrows or lashes done at all (never have), my own nails are very long and in good condition but I will have shellac painted on them occasionally.

I have had my hair coloured a couple of times per year in the past, but not for a few years, that was between £60 and £130 depending on what I had done.

The exception to all this was on the run up to my wedding when I had facials, acrylic tips on my nails and waxing, but this was only over a 6 week period and I didn’t continue with it after the wedding.

CiaoBellisima · 07/04/2023 18:23

Waxing, a couple of pedicures a year (in the summer) and my hair cut and expensive colour every 7-8 weeks.

Jayne35 · 07/04/2023 19:01

It’s only excessive if you can’t afford it. If you can then it’s fine, you can spend your money how you like.

TeeBee · 07/04/2023 19:03

Nails every three weeks
Pedicure every other month
Reflexology facial every other month
Hair cut and coloured every 8-10 weeks

ememem84 · 07/04/2023 19:03

Ooh and lashes maybe once every 6m.

CouldIHaveThatInEnglishPlease · 07/04/2023 19:35

sunbed once a week
Lash extensions every 3 weeks
Brow threading every 3 weeks
nails done every 3 weeks
hair balayage every 12 weeks
massage twice a year

spend approx £1750 a year on treatments.
I earn it, I pay for it, it’s nobody’s business how much I spend

ChocolateTea · 07/04/2023 19:58

tattoo removal treatment £60 every six weeks
haircut with friend every six months £15

that’s it. I don’t dye my hair, I don’t do my nails, I use a razor and makeup for everything else

Ndhdiwntbsivnwg · 07/04/2023 20:00

Manis and pedis every 3 weeks, beautician every 6 weeks due to cystic acne, lashes, brows…
Comes to like £200 a month 😂 but I make my own money and I can afford it so that’s that

Iamblossom · 07/04/2023 20:07

Gel nails every 3 weeks
Facial and eyebrow wax once a month
Pedicure 3/4 times a year

weeducky · 07/04/2023 20:22

Hair 3 or 4 times a year- cut and colour, about £110 each time.
Once a year (sometimes twice) I will get lip fillers and line fillers (around my mouth/nose and undereyes) and botox. Costs a fortune but lasts.

Have a gel nail kit I use at home, although the colours are expensive, and will buy face masks/skincare/fake tan/nice makeup/ocassional hair masks etc.

HeidiWhole · 07/04/2023 20:30

Nothing. It's honestly never occurred to me. This is perhaps because I'm oldish and it's quite recently that people have started with regular treatments....or is it? I don't know...but now I see what everyone else gets done I might start!

GoodWithCats2 · 07/04/2023 20:32

A hair trim every few months - £70

I had my first micro needling session this week and intend to have more - £130

I'm about to pay for teeth whitening - £199 on special offer at my dentist. And I'll probably have some cosmetic work done to my teeth this year which will be just over £1,000.

Ikeameatballs · 07/04/2023 20:35

Hair cut and colour every 12ish weeks, up to £200.
Nails maybe three times/year? £30 each time
Annual spa day £150ish

Gingerlygreen · 07/04/2023 20:41

£5 Supermarket box dye on my hair every 6 weeks

Lottiebe · 07/04/2023 20:42

Highlights every 6 weeks at £180 a go, manicure every 3 weeks at £30, Botox at £360 twice a year, bikini wax every 2 monthsat £50 a time and hair cut every 3 months at £70 a time. I pay for it all but I think yours sounds reasonable.

DrMarciaFieldstone · 07/04/2023 20:45

Hair every other month
Manicure and gels once a month
Pedicure and toes if going away (would be every month if money was no object)
Lash lift and brow lamination every other month

Holding off any anything cosmetic as long as I can - where I am, I’m the only few I know without Botox, lips and some have fillers on top

Growlybear83 · 07/04/2023 21:34

I've never had any sort of beauty treatment and the last time I went to the hairdresser was nearly seven years ago 😆

ThinWomansBrain · 07/04/2023 21:35

haircut every 3 months £30, perm once a year £40, including cut,
manicure around monthly - £12-£15

I had semi permanent eyebrow tattoos last year - therapist said will need topping up in 2 years; I think that was £150 - £200, but I was really pleased with the results.

PartingGift · 07/04/2023 21:49

I get my hair cut around every 12 weeks (£45), balayage redone every year (£125). When I'm off work I will get my nails done (£12 for polish, £25 for gels). My eyebrows grow really slowly, but I get hD brows every year (£40, which is expensive for what it is, but I have had some terrible experiences in the past and only trust this lady now). If I'm going to a special occasion I will book a blowdry with one of the apprentices at my hairdressers, which is between £5 - £15.

I like skin care; I dermaplane about once a month, and have an LED mask I bought from Boots which I need to start using. I also have a Philips lumea which I have used to get rid of pretty much all of my body hair. I give myself a pedicure every couple of weeks and tint my brows every 6 weeks or so.

bbyno2 · 07/04/2023 22:41

Hair colour and cut every six weeks (£90) nothing else though.

Missingthegore · 08/04/2023 00:10

Yep

mamabear715 · 08/04/2023 00:13

Does private dentist & podiatrist count? ;-)
Seriously, maybe I should send more on myself..

Palmface · 08/04/2023 00:25

Gel nail pedicure every few weeks
Hair cut and coloured every 10 weeks
Eyebrows tidied and tinted
Hydra facial every few months
