I get a lash lift every 6ish weeks and my nails done when I'm off work.

I get an expensive (£210) treatment on my hair twice a year that makes it much easier to manage.

That's it but my DP thinks it's excessive?!

I really don't think it is? What do you get?

Lemonyfuckit · 06/04/2023 18:24

Oh yes and a massage whenever I get around to booking one.

FedUpWithEverything123 · 06/04/2023 18:25

Zero. Can't afford any. (I trim and colour my own hair, trim my own nails etc)

Gwendolines1 · 06/04/2023 18:30

Blow-dry every week. My hair is pretty feral wild. Saves me a lot of time.

UsingChangeofName · 06/04/2023 18:31

Hair cut about every two months . £10 a time.
That's it.

However, surely this depends on what your budget is? £800+ is a drop in the ocean to some people, but a family holiday to others, or even the difference between having the heating on, or enough to eat.

psychDr · 06/04/2023 18:40

Botox every 12 weeks - £160

Hair every 8-10 weeks - £120
Eyelashes every 2-3 weeks - £26

Brieandme · 06/04/2023 18:40

Mine is haircut and colour (£110) every 8 weeks. I could afford to do more if I really wanted to but honestly, I struggle to understand how people fit the appointments in! Assuming that most people who can afford these luxuries will be working full time? If I was a lady of leisure id go for more!

thatsn0tmyname · 06/04/2023 18:47

Haircut X 3 a year. Pedicure X 3 a year. If you live near Kingston upon Thames, go to Hoa nails in Hampton Wick. Very thorough 👍

Micro bladed eyebrows every 12 months- £230
botox to forehead every 3 months. £200
lip filler every 3 months £150
hair cut every 4 weeks. £30

about £2k.

HippoStraw · 06/04/2023 18:50

Nothing at all, not even hair. I could but it’s a faff I can do without.

SharonEllis · 06/04/2023 19:07

I don't even know what half of these treatments are! Get my hair cut occasionally, and thats it.

I work part time 4 days a week, that's how I fit mine in 😂

Goatlady5812 · 06/04/2023 18:06

@ThePoshUns do epilators actually work?!

Yes been using them forever. Lasts a few weeks. Only do my legs. Anything else is too painful.

Fundays12 · 06/04/2023 19:15

Cut and colour every 7 weeks at £70. Eye brows threaded 5 times a year around £12 a time. I pamper myself weekly with a home face mask, nails, exfoliators etc

MrsRinaDecker · 06/04/2023 19:19

Blow dry every two weeks £20
Cut and colour every three months £75
I got acrylic nails done a few weeks ago for £35, but not a regular thing, more an occasional treat.
I use Clinique make up, which obviously isn’t the cheapest, probably £50 every 2-3 months?

katrizia127 · 06/04/2023 19:23

On a regular basis, I spend very little. I cut and dye my own hair, do my own lash lifts and gel nails. But having said that, over the years I've spent on:

Cosmetic tattoos (brows, eyeliner and lips): £550
Botox every 4 months: £140
Lip filler every 18 months: £170
Smile line filler every two years: £220
Cosmetic dentistry (crowns): £14,000
Rhinoplasty: £5,000
Blepharoplasty: £4,000
Fat transfer under eyes and cheeks: £3,000

I'm currently saving up for a midface lift, brow lift and double chin liposuction.

IsAGirlMumma · 06/04/2023 19:29

Hair coloured every 6 months ish. (£130 a go)
& eye brows threaded every 6-8 weeks.
£6 a go

GiveYourHeadAWobble · 06/04/2023 19:34

None. I even cut my own hair.

I do want semi-permanent makeup though. - eyeliner and brow powder.

TaLooLaBell · 06/04/2023 19:45

Cut and colour
Nails
Eyebrows
Massages
Facials
Podiatrist
Botox

FarmGirl78 · 06/04/2023 21:08

Hair cut maybe 3 times a year.....£27 ish each time.

Robyn847 · 06/04/2023 21:09

Sometimes, if I'm feeling extravagant, I'll buy the £1.99 shampoo from Home Bargains rather than the 99p stuff.

KnittingNeedles · 06/04/2023 21:10

Hair cut and that's it. I am 50 and have never paid for "beauty treatments". Ever.

Albiboba · 06/04/2023 21:11

Nothing on a routine basis. I might get my hair done every other month for a short while and then not do colour for 6-8 months or longer!
Similarly I periodically do nails but I don’t keep up with it and do it every 3 weeks or anything.

Tellmethespoiler · 06/04/2023 21:14

Virtually nothing. I have my hair cut once a year or maybe twice. £25. I dye it myself at home.

AffIt · 06/04/2023 21:15

Eyebrows waxed and tinted, lashes permed and tinted, gel toenails done roughly 3/4 times a year. Let's say £300 pa.

Chiropodist treatment 3/4 times a year. £150.

Hair cut twice a year (it's naturally curly and I wear it long, no colour, doesn't need done any more often). £200 pa (I know, but it's a specialist cut in a fancy curly salon).

£650 all in.

Hedjwitch · 06/04/2023 21:20

Hair dry cut every 6 weeks for £15
Home dye same for £7
Lip,chin,eyebrow wax every month £25

Dont do nails so nothing there.
Very occasional massage like once or twice a year.£60 a time
