I get a lash lift every 6ish weeks and my nails done when I'm off work.

I get an expensive (£210) treatment on my hair twice a year that makes it much easier to manage.

That's it but my DP thinks it's excessive?!

I really don't think it is? What do you get?

I didn’t know normal people got Botox. I thought it was a celebrity thing.

I have a haircut every 3 months.

If we’re going on holiday (which happens every 2-3 year) I get a pedicure, which I love.

Other than that we have a lot more pressing needs for money than beauty treatments.

elevenplusdilemma · 06/04/2023 15:57

Haircut once a year. That's it.

Bienemajas · 06/04/2023 16:01

Haircut twice a year.

But can look after the rest of my body myself

Bienemajas · 06/04/2023 16:02

Wow, doesn't seem that many mumsnetters are feeling a cost of living crisis! That's a lot of money spent on their appearance.

Crikey your nails are expensive! I assume that's hands and feet? Mine are £30 for infills...

coffeecupsandwaxmelts · 06/04/2023 16:19

Nothing. I cut/dye my own hair at home.

gobbleguts · 06/04/2023 16:19

Hair cut and colour every 6 weeks
Nails (biab and gel) every 3 weeks
Eyebrow wax and tint once a month
Botox every 4-6 months for crows feet
0.5ml of lip filler every 3-4 years or so

samestyle · 06/04/2023 16:36

I've stopped getting my gel nails done, mainly as I work from home and no one sees them, such a saving. I will get pedicures in the summer though.

My hair I get done twice a year highlights 150, Botox once a year 200, the odd lash lift 2-3 times a year. I am addicted to expensive make up and shampoos though, no idea how much. I think I'm quite low maintenance.

Stroopwaffle5000 · 06/04/2023 16:39

Lash lift and eyebrow lamination every 3/4 months - £70

Highlights every 3 months - £70 to £100.

Haircut every 5 months-ish depending on how bad my split ends are - £30.

I had 1ml of lip filler for the first time in December and will definitely be doing it every 6 months from now on - £100.

It works out at about £910 per year, or £75 a month if I divide it up.

I do gel nails and eyebrow tint myself.

I don't drink or smoke so I'm quite happy to spend that amount.

readingismycardio · 06/04/2023 16:46

Manicure every 2 weeks
Pedi once a month

LisaD1 · 06/04/2023 17:09

Ooo what is this hair treatment?

CharlotteRose90 · 06/04/2023 17:36

I have
gel nails every 3 weeks £30
gel toes every 4-6 weeks £30
eyebrows shaped once a month £12
facial once a month £30

then the occasional back massage.

as for my hair I get it done probably once a year because after having chemo I’m now allergic to hair dye so it just gets trimmed.

ememem84 · 06/04/2023 17:43

Sugaring every 8 weeks (bikini and eyebrows). Nails every 4.
hair - cut and colour every 6m

Bluelightbaby · 06/04/2023 18:04

Only get hair cut about once or twice a year as it’s pretty much always tied back

used to get nails done monthly but with my current job can’t have painted nails so don’t bother

i do have a facial every month which is £20

dont really wear much make up

So think I’m pretty low maintenance tbh

Bluelightbaby · 06/04/2023 18:05

Ooh and I dye my own hair with a box product and have a laser hair reduction product too

Goatlady5812 · 06/04/2023 18:06

@ThePoshUns do epilators actually work?!

NualaMay · 06/04/2023 18:10

Hair cut, and the occasional colour, every 3 months or so. £80 if I’ve had colour.

Eyebrow shape and tint every 3-4 months. £25

Used to get my nails done every month (£30) but I do them myself now, and they’re so much stronger and healthier now I’ve stopped using Shellac.

MyopicBunny · 06/04/2023 18:16

I used to have monthly facials but I can't afford that any more so have cut down to 3 monthly.

Nails every 3 weeks

Haircut every 12 weeks

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 06/04/2023 18:19

Nothing!

Hair about 3 time a year

Lemonyfuckit · 06/04/2023 18:22

Haircut every 8-10 weeks £55
Botox approx. 2x per year £250
Manicure / pedicure ad hoc, usually before a holiday or pedicure every month approx in the summer / manicure before a special occasion like a wedding (approx £40)

Colour my hair myself with henna, use about a third of a box each time do my roots every 5 weeks so about £2.50!!

But I do have a lot of skincare products, albeit they're mostly Beauty Pie so not too expensive.

Not ruling out other more expensive tweakments, have had fillers once and profhilo, will get the fillers again as and when I feel it's needed.
