To demand all my money back?

Travelled 2 hours to get away for 2 nights with the kids. Once we checked in I put everything down in the lodge and went to get some shopping and some food. By time we got back here it was late. No cot for DS and no water in the hot tub. I’ve stayed here numerous times and never had an issue so I just assumed was all ok.

their is no signal so I’m having to walk the kids down to the reception just to try and contact someone.

first time I’ve come anywhere on my own with the kids and it’s just all gone so wrong.

We stayed in the most beautiful cottage in Bedd Gellert with a wood fired hot tub. The owner came over (with our agreement) every 3-4 days to drain the water and refill it. <sighs with happy memories> misses point of thread

Ditto but in this case the OP rocks up with a baby and young child on her own, late in the day, with no food so dumps stuff and heads out immediately to go grocery shopping. Not something I would subject myself to! But pretty sure you can grasp she was probably a touch busy to be on her top game re the accommodation provisions! @Tealsofa

It sounds rubbish and you should ask for your money back.
They have not provided the facilities you have paid for.

I arrived at hotels and not found cot in room...first thin g you check. Takes seconds and you let reception know. Cot arrives very quick you making this bigger than it is. Can't understand why you want out food shopping without checking the cot.

Yup. We went away recently, checked in quite late first thing I checked was the cot. It wasn’t there. Quick call to reception and was sorted in 30 mins..

Update I didn’t get any of money back back they offered me 20 percent of my next stay. I put in a complaint with Hoseasons.

They came the next day to fill the tub and bring a cot. The maintenance man showed me messages on his phone from management they texted him at 02:30 in the morning to fill the tub and bring the cot. He didn’t start until 9!

They tried to say it was a late booking but I booked over 24 hours in advance.

Eh? Why would they text him at 2.30am? I thought there was no one on reception and you hadn't spoken to anyone

Update I got my money back! I emailed the CEO all sorted very quickly.

@henchhen I think management probably realised at 2:30 in the morning that I had no cot or access to the tub.
