I agree with what your saying but he is in solitary confinement and not allowed to mix with the other inmates

Roars sexual abuse from his cell however. And insists on being dealt with by female prison guards.

And the solitary confinement isn't strictly true. There's an hour where he's out of his cell, accompanied by 2 guards. I can't imagine how much everyone dreads that hour.

And how does that work in a prison built with a bed capacity of just twenty-eight and a prison population of 46?

Very true, I completely agree with all comments it's just that has not been mentioned, people might be thinking he's roaming around with all the other women in there which he is not. I think solitary confinement is the solution to put him no matter where he goes (preferably male prison) as obviously he is a horrendous human being

Let's not forget that Ireland has a long, long history of throwing women under the bus in the name of ideology.

Doesn't it just. This case is appalling as are the Irish laws on gender change. This fiction is endangering women.

Jackiebrambles · 22/03/2023 19:44

Wow I didn’t think we were allowed to talk about this stuff outside of the naughty corner (ie the feminism board). Being that we are all terfs and transphobic bigots.

I see Leo Varadkar is saying he knew nothing about this until the weekend. I find this very hard to believe as it's been widely known and discussed on social media for at least two years. I imagine a great many Irish people have written to him about it. So, either he is lying, or his officials have kept the information from him, which would suggest he has told them these concerns are not a priority for him. I can't see a single way this can play out that doesn't reflect badly on him.

100% agree 🙌🏻

So why is he not in a male prison then?

Andante57 · 22/03/2023 20:22

There are some good articles about this in the website Gript.

Andante57 · 22/03/2023 20:24

Sorry op, I see you’ve mentioned Gript in your first post.

TheKeatingFive · 22/03/2023 20:26

Newstalk is starting to talk about it openly too, particularly Ciara Kelly

We still are.

An Australian MP has called women who want rights and think men aren't women TERDS. It's a play on Terf and Turd you see.

Women who object to this are like excrement.

It's funny that - I've known about Barbie since Barbie was wanted by the police and the public were being warned not to approach this dangerous teenage girl (great safeguarding of the public there lads). A couple of years I'd guess? And I've never even set foot in Ireland. Yet the Irish Premier had no idea? Maybe because all press regarding Barbie from then was mysteriously expunged from the internet Hmm

I read it's 3 hours, he's in his cell for 21 hours..

But he should have been sent to a male prison from the word go. He is a man.

Well thank goodness for Mumsnet - this is when we actually need the Daily Fail to step in and being this back to the national attention.

So happy to see lots of threads on mumsnet & all over the Internet about Barbie Lad. This needs to be global & international news. The government need to be shamed & held accountable for. It's a complete violation of women's rights. We need to think about the type of Ireland we want for our daughters.

Gript are great but the Daily Mail are the best for sensationalism.

You keep thinking that there will be a case that will make people rethink the implications of an unquestioning endorsement of the mantra that transwomen are women, in any sense. You'd have thought this might do it, but apparently not. They're off on their merry way, either ignoring this like cowards or supporting it like half wits.

It's impossible to guess what might make people face reality.

Mommymoments · 22/03/2023 20:50

I think the public need to get behind it & let the powers that be know enough is enough. They also need to stay the fuck away from our kids & keep their trans brainwashing agenda out of the classroom.
