Would you feel uncomfortable if your cleaner wore these?

My cleaner often wears quite revealing leggings, I wouldn't care except my husband often works from home and she also cleans his office which requires bending etc. She's also very attractive. It makes me feel uncomfortable and inferior but I don't feel like I can say anything to her. I personally don't feel this is professional for anyone to be wearing to work, except perhaps if you work in a gym or similar. What do others think? Would you be ok with it?

I personally feel its inappropriate. There are many other comfortable clothes she could wear.

For those who are asking if the OP doesn't trust her husband, it's a bit like putting a piece of chocolate cake in front of someone and asking them not to eat it. Why not dress decently in first place, if you have some self respect!!

Your second paragraph is disgusting. It’s the same attitude of victim blamers. Gross!

Trixiefirecracker · 10/03/2023 07:57

I’m just here because I’m fascinated that women like @Pinkhorse1 still exist.

Indeed!

Enufsaid · 10/03/2023 07:59

We had a cleaner that used to take her outer wear off and wear sort of see through leggings when she was working. My husband commented on it to me but anyway we both kept out of her way while she was cleaning the rooms. I think it was unprofessional of her but I didn’t want to say anything - and didn’t - and it was all fine to be honest. We just got used to her see through leggings! Tried not to notice!

JMSA · 10/03/2023 08:00

Hope she's good at cleaning skid marks Grin

I always think these look like a big puckered arsehole, they make me cringe.

that’s the perfect way to describe them!!

If someone asked that of me I’d say “ok” and that would be that. I’m not a fucking rabid bear who would slam my face into the minute your back was turned because we humans have this thing called self control.

Take your victim blaming mentality and get in the fucking bin.

The religious extremists of the Middle East called, they want their attitudes back

I wear these leggings. They’re control leggings. I have to do lots of bending, squatting etc. Only leggings that don’t fall down or move. And the only ones I can tolerate working in for a long time due to my sensory issues (ND). I’m not sure why people keep talking about chafing and wedgies because you’ve obviously never worn them, perhaps stick to things you’ve actually experienced?

I couldn’t give a flying fuck if some judgemental ringpieces think they’re “slutty” (check your misogyny) or inappropriate because they find the sight of a bum abhorrent. My comfort comes before your Pearl clutching

It’s not “slutty”. Plenty of people wear it because they think it gives their flat ass a ‘shape’. There have been loads of posts on tick tick, Insta, etc saying this. I’ve seen plenty on the street and they don’t look good. I mean look at the choice of photo to advertise the leggings in the OP. She looks like she needs a poo 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

The view is gross though and the OP is describing it from her view. Opinions yada yada

Redebs · 10/03/2023 08:04

Sexualised clothing is actually insulting to men too. It's like using arousal against them in completely inappropriate settings. Men are perceived as dogs who can be controlled by a bit of random lust. It's very prevalent in modern Brazilian culture (and many others, obviously)

And to do this in front of his wife adds another chapter of nasty.

A woman wearing stuff like this isn't necessarily actively aware of the issue; she probably just thinks they look good or her friends are all wearing them.

There was an outcry against tshirts for little girls and babies with the slogan 'Future pornstar' on them. Not because they would transform any man seeing them into paedophiles, but because they are demeaning and disrespectful.

Hankunamatata · 10/03/2023 08:05

So your cleaner wears leggings to clean. Yabu
They are not revealing leggings they are just leggings

MaPaSpa · 10/03/2023 08:05

Phoebo · 10/03/2023 06:54

They're not just normal leggings they have a seam in the butt crack, so the cheeks are "defined" if you will 🤣 I totally acknowledge that it's a "me" issue and that I feel insecure. That's all I'm asking, so it sounds like most people wouldn't be bothered about it?

I know the leggings you mean OP. I was like looking for some workout sets and every pair was like that unless I wanted to spend £50+

its just what’s out there at the moment, don’t think she’s trying to entice your DH

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 10/03/2023 08:09

If your husband is going to shaggy your cleaner he would do it whether she wore these or a tabard. And it would be your dh who cheated. Not her.

Butterflywing · 10/03/2023 08:10

If you are as insecure as that then buy yourself a similar pair and bend over in the presence of your husband and guage the reaction.

MissVantaBlack · 10/03/2023 08:11

Oh dear, those leggings don’t leave much to the imagination do they! I wouldn't like that much either. And I get why you're insecure - it's not unknown for poor, young cleaners to try to seduce their (relatively) wealthy male clients. I don't think you can say anything though, except perhaps tell her that you will clean your DH's office in future as he doesn't like anyone coming in while he's working. But as it's been two years so far and nothing has happened yet, it probably won't.

Shaggy your cleaner made me laugh. A lot.

I didn’t say they were slutty, a previous poster did. I don’t subscribe to much misogyny thanks, you could see that if you read my post before quoting me. I’m not sure why you’ve singled that out, but ok.

As I said. I’m ND I wear this for sensory reasons, and the fact they’re the only “bottoms” that I can wear while I work that don’t fall down, ride up, go wonky and cause me issues. I couldn’t give a shit if you think I “look like I need a poo” just keep your judgemental opinions to yourself.

ReformedWaywardTeen · 10/03/2023 07:38

Personally I hate those leggings with the scrunch at that bottom. It's just slutty.
Tell her she is welcome to wear trousers that don't have that and if she refuses get rid.

Slutty???

Have a word with yourself

WedonttalkaboutMaureen · 10/03/2023 08:12

WhimBarWhey · 10/03/2023 07:36

Isn't it interesting that inappropriate clothing is only ever worn by women? A lot of you need to check your internalised misogyny.

👏👏👏

Disgraceful comments.

notacooldad · 10/03/2023 08:13

Is also be interested to see if the other posters would have a problem with these being worn in a casual office environment
We have someone who wears similar, not scrunched though. They are skin tight and she wears it with a t shirt or sweatshirt that stops at the waist.
Our policy is no short shorts or football shirts or no large logos so she is not breaking the dress code.
The only comment our manager has made was ' thank god we don't do dress down Friday.'

AltheaVestr1t · 10/03/2023 08:14

My cleaner is a 65 year old man. I'd be quite disturbed if he wore those to work...

LesserBohemians · 10/03/2023 08:14

I go to a huge university gym. I’d say that style of leggings is worn by between one third and half of the women exercising there.

Aerielview · 10/03/2023 08:15

Redebs · 10/03/2023 06:55

But these aren't just leggings are they?
Leggings are practical and comfortable.
These are deliberately provocative, like a skintight tshirt with plunging neckline; designed for the male gaze. Totally inappropriate for work.

This

Lucky you having a cleaner.
