Would you feel uncomfortable if your cleaner wore these?

My cleaner often wears quite revealing leggings, I wouldn't care except my husband often works from home and she also cleans his office which requires bending etc. She's also very attractive. It makes me feel uncomfortable and inferior but I don't feel like I can say anything to her. I personally don't feel this is professional for anyone to be wearing to work, except perhaps if you work in a gym or similar. What do others think? Would you be ok with it?

Maybe so, but the majority of 65 year old do not know about the younger generations fashion. Fashion will always cause controversy but nobody should dictate what an individual chooses to wear, more so when it boils down to jealousy, pure and simple. This post is incredibly sexist, but hey ho

Don’t be ridiculous, do you think people go blind on their 65th birthday? Anyone with an interest in clothes and fashion retains that well into old age.

Too funny - do you think we all just curl up in the corner over 60 and wear 'suitable clothes'?

Your posts are not in the least sexist - ageist definitely.

I'd say women over 60 aren't well represented in the arse crack leggings market. Is that against?

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 10:06

You don’t have to wear them to understand that they’re fashionable and highly popular with a particular demographic.

I do not doubt that. I'm just surprised that those who fall outside of that demographic feel unfairly maligned.

So you think ageist comments like the one above are OK? Apply that to any other protected characteristic and see how it goes. Replace 65 with disabled/black/Jewish. Not good is it?

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 10:14

Anyway, if people enjoy arse crack leggings then they can crack on, it's no skin off my nose.

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 10:17

Oh come on, they are ridiculous. If the washing machine repair guy arrived wearing a pair I wouldn't know where to look and that certainly doesn't pertain to uncontrollable lust.

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 10:18

But he could and I'd just find something interesting to study on the ceiling while I offered him a cup of tea.

the ‘scrunch bum’ leggings from TikTok are what they are known as.

They were originally meant for the gym but they seem to have become the ‘norm’ every day leggings.

It wouldn’t bother me someone wearing them to clean my house, they obviously feel comfortable in them and as long as they did a good job then I couldn’t care what they were wearing.

I very much doubt someone would wear leggings to a office job in London for example, not unless they were under a dress etc. Personally never seen anyone in leggings and a cropped top when I have worked up there.

A girl at my office wears these with a skin tight top too, you can literally see the shape of.... well everything front and back! She has a lovely figure so I think she feels comfortable in them...

gillywiththedogs · 10/03/2023 10:35

There's always going to be someone come along who's slim, young, pretty, wearing figure-hugging clothes, etc. Even in your own home. Just get use to it.

Singularity82 · 10/03/2023 10:40

OP you are being unreasonable and a bit silly. It’s so sad that you’re struggling with your confidence to this level. I would be looking at ways to improve that. Whether it’s exercising a bit more, revamp your wardrobe, or even some self help books. 💐

DrMarciaFieldstone · 10/03/2023 10:49

If you’re struggling with insecurity and confidence, you sort yourself out. You don’t ask others to change their lives to indulge your anxiety.

crossstitchingnana · 10/03/2023 11:01

They are absolutely hideous and I would call the fashion police. I do not want to look at every inch of a woman's arse.

Whowhatwherewhenwhy1 · 10/03/2023 11:07

You are the one with the problem. Do not put your insecurities on someone else. She is free to wear what she wants and it does not affect her ability to do her job. Are you really saying you do not trust your husband? Maybe you should work on your own self esteem and trust issues and if you think your husband cannot be trusted around a woman in leggings you need to take a good long hard look at your marriage.

Cassiehopes · 10/03/2023 11:20

They’re leggings. They’re comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity. Would you ask a man not to wear work-suitable clothes because a woman might fancy him?! 😮

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 11:27

Can you think of any work-suitable clothing that men wear which allow you to chart the inner contours of his arse crack?

whumpthereitis · 10/03/2023 11:40

Hmmm. We had the plumber in a few days ago, and when he was bent over I was able to view his actual arse crack. The leggings would have been preferable tbh.

I own a few pairs of these. Got them from gymshark, and indeed for the gym. They are comfortable as hell, and because they’re cut to frame and support the butt they don’t become see through as so many leggings are wont to do. As such I have worn them outside the gym too 🤷🏻‍♀️

5128gap · 10/03/2023 11:53

No woman should feel insecure at the thought of her H seeing another woman in tight leggings. Given the sheer numbers of women out there who are attractive and wear tight clothes, it's an exhausting and unsustainable attitude, and you need to address that, not your cleaners clothes.
What is the basis of your insecurity? Do you think your husband is ogling women in a sleezy way that makes them uncomfortable? Do you think he'd make a move on a hot looking woman and embarrass himself or start an affair?
Are you unhappy with your own appearance and could make some changes to feel better, or to otherwise build your confidence?
What you can't do is try to remove or manage percieved threats from other women. You will deal with one 'risk' and two more will pop up in its place. Tackle your feelings at source.

Most workmen have their arses hanging out.

I mean, I'm not sure that meets the agreed condition of work suitable, tbf. A strong belt cannot be under-valued among the trades.

They don't want to use belts as they're uncomfortable when they need to get into awkward positions
