Bananas and custard!

DP and I fancied some for tea tonight. (Relatively new relationship so our first time of making this delicacy.)
I put the cut up banana in the saucepan along with the custard so that the banana can cook.
DP looks horrified. He's only ever poured the hot custard over the cold cut up banana in the bowl.
So who is being unreasonable?

Boiling bananas results in mush so essentially it's just banana custard not bananas AND custard. So you are being entirely unreasonable. Gavel! #also rumble

I'm Team OP! It feels more like a proper pudding when the banana is cooked.

I think bananas are only cooked as in banana fritters - i.e. banana pieces in batter deep fried.

Barbequed bananas are lovely. Split the skin but leave banana in it, the push squares of chocolate between the skin and banana, the put on bbq until gooey. Delightful.
However, it is hot custard and cold bananas, you heathen!

op - bbq bananas are rank and a waste of chocolate if used.
