Salad with Carbonara

Tonight we had Carbonara from Gousto and they send ingredients for a side salad. Who the fuck has salad with carbonara? My DH wasn't as outraged as I am 😂

YABU - salad with Carbonara is normal
YANBU - it's weird!!

Went on holiday with an Italian guy and on the first night he made carbonara and someone made an accompanying salad and I thought he was going to die

In general I'm not a fan of salad with hot food, there's a few exceptions though

I have to say, I don't really give a monkeys about what Italians think of my pasta/pizza serving/eating habits any more than I would care if they grated parmesan onto an Eccles cake. Just have what you like.

I wouldn't be outraged by it. Quite nice really on a separate plate.

We have a tomato and spring onion salad with garlicky vinaigrette when we have carbonara. The sharpness and crunchiness is a nice contrast to the rich salty stodge! It's not really a balanced meal without any veg content, and I wouldn't fancy cooked veg with it.

Perfectly normal.
