Does anyone remember coloured toilet paper? Any other random disappearances?

Just this really.

I have recollections of toilet paper being available in lilac, mint, peach, baby blue. My husband thinks in lying.

its now white. I’m not sure when the colours disappeared.

I'd love some lilac loo roll to brighten up the day. I realise that this is a non-problem but I’m bored and have had a glass of wine (or two).

Has anyone got any other random disappearances that cannot be explained?

I always.used to buy blue. And all brands and supermarket own brands did a variety of colours. They all stopped for environmental reasons. I can't remember what the specific issue was with manufacturing coloured toilet rolls, but they disappeared pretty much overnight.

I remember those square bath cubes that came wrapped in pairs in paper.

Those apricot scrub pads like Brillo pads for your face. Where did they go?

You can still get coloured toilet roll. IKEA do a few colours.

I also remember a funky body butter type cream too, it looked like whipped cream with a red gel (that looked like jam) running through it

Coloured bathroom suites aren’t really a thing anymore, so there probably isn’t any demand for coloured loo roll to match! I also seem to remember reading a while back that white was a better option because of the dyes involved in producing coloured loo paper.

I’ve seen the flower print M&S one and I love it. Sadly, I can’t afford this right now. I will totally buy this when I marry Steven Bartlett though.

Yes! I had forgotten this.

I remember going to a trendy club in the 2000s and there being black loo roll! D friend and I wanted to steal some for our flat but we bottled it.

I've got some toilet paper with green and red Christmas trees on at the moment. It was on offer at Amazon just after Christmas

Used to buy multicoloured tissues too - great for making carnations.

I remember a write in to a magazine / paper at the end of the 90"s recession where the writer knew that they were coming out the other side as the wife was buying coloured loo rolls again.

And L’Oréal kids - “coz we’re worth it too!”

Or when you put no more tears in your eyes, and surprise surprise there are lots of fucking tears.
