Yes I can taste the difference. No it’s not the same great taste.

Put out a lower sugar or salt free version if you want but leave my shit alone!!

Heinz baked beans......I opened a small tin the other day and they've messed with them - and they weren't reduced sugar/salt ones, they were regular ones. Bleugh

That’s what I’ve got yes. There wasn’t anything else so I thought it was just a complete change.

Both versions available in my local Tesco, albeit they aren’t next to each other, they’re at different ends of the aisle!

KimberleyClark · 24/02/2023 17:56

Have KitKat stopped doing two finger multipacks? All I could find now was four finger ones.

Notonthestairs · 24/02/2023 17:58

How could I have forgotten about Discos? Thanks for the prompt fdg!

Phineyj · 24/02/2023 17:58

Orangina!

We now only drink it if we can get it from France.

RiverRock22 · 24/02/2023 18:00

Pot Noodles, not that they were ever gourmet are now completely tasteless

StalkedByASpider · 24/02/2023 18:00

Oh yes - Lucozade original!!

They halved the sugar to get around the sugar tax when it was introduced.

I drank one without realising and thought it was off as it had a weird chemical lemon aftertaste. Vile.

I won’t touch the stuff now. I’d have been happy to pay more for a proper full sugar version.

Ah, so the disappointing you had were the 45% less salt ones? Phew! If the salt and vinegar crisps aren't strong enough to give me a mouth ulcer and take the skin off my tongue, then I'm not interested.

SignOnTheWindow · 24/02/2023 18:13

Special K used to be lush, but now they're all hard and glazed.

Jericha · 24/02/2023 18:14

Applesandcarrots · 24/02/2023 17:37

And st Pellegrino 🙄 and I don't even mind sweeteners but it just tastes wrong

Yes!! Such a disappointment. That stuff was one of very few "lemon" products that had the balls to actually taste of lemon.

Abouttoblow · 24/02/2023 18:15

I just want them to leave cheese alone. I cannot find any kind of cheddar now that melts or incorporates into a cheese sauce.
It just goes hard when trying to melt it for cheese on toast for example or goes grainy in sauce.
It's like they've removed virtually all the fat.

RufustheSpeculatingreindeer · 24/02/2023 18:15

Asda cheese bites

we virtually inhale these things…i bought 3x36 bags at Christmas and no one would touch them because theyve been ruined

i am working my way through them but I still have a bag of 36 left! Unheard of!

Cellotapedispenser · 24/02/2023 18:20

Agree. It's fizzy drinks for me. I cannot stomach sweetners. I rarely drink them but when I fancy a moscow mule I'd like proper ginger beer, or if I want a lemonade please can I have one that's mostly just lemons, water and sugar and that isn't full of chemicals?

IMustDoMoreExercise · 24/02/2023 18:22

I used to eat everything that everyone has mentioned, but I now very rarely eat ultraprocessed food and drink.

I actually think that everything mentioned should not be sold at all as it is so bad for us and is killing us.

So it is good that people don't like the taste any more.

They're still available . I bought some the other day.

changedforonenightonly · 24/02/2023 18:24

I love the old El Paso fajhitas mix. It's my favourite meal.

My husband is no longer allowed to make it because he adds things.

Firstruleofsoupover · 24/02/2023 18:25

How do people feel about Primula cheese spread with prawns? Until quite recently food of the gods. Now with a big price increase and tastes less good.

There is always one

IreallyLikeCrisps · 24/02/2023 18:33

Frosties used to be awesome with hot milk that made them go mushy. Now they just taste of fake sugar.

Thats nice dear.

Crisps from Lidl are still strongly flavoured - their salt and vinegar chip sticks and "wotsits" will take the roof off your mouth.i don't even bother with the Morrisons versions any more.

The day Tayto change the recipe of their cheese & onion crisps, though, is the day i book a one-way ticket to Dignitas.

RumNotRun · 24/02/2023 18:38

You can still get the good San Pellegrino. I think you have to look for the ones that say classic on them. I get mine on Amazon, not sure if they are available anywhere else

MavisMcMinty · 24/02/2023 18:39

If I really like anything from M&S you can guarantee they’ll change it and it’ll be worse. Chicken liver pate, tuna pate and smoked salmon pate are cases in point. Chicken liver pate needs two things to make it proper - garlic and brandy/sherry - and you’d be amazed at how unusual it is to find a chicken liver pate these days with one of those essential ingredients, never mind both. Yes I can make my own, but trimming chicken livers is really gross and I’m really shit at it.

My favourite M&S sandwich a few years ago was tuna salad in wholemeal/seeded bloomer, so of course they noticed how often I bought it and discontinued it.

Animallover87 · 24/02/2023 18:42

Basically all juice expect normal coke. I want sugar, not sweetener 😔

JennyDarlingRIP · 24/02/2023 18:44

M&S wotsits are still cheesy.
I saw sugar free lucozade the other day, labelled lucozade ORIGINAL zero, what is the point?! It was a glucose drink, there's nothing original admit a sugar free version!

GellerYeller · 24/02/2023 18:48

M and S Cheese Tasters. Used to be deliciously dense. Now airy, thin and wotsit- like. And there’s a reduced fat version that’s worse still.
Don’t get me started on the abomination that masquerades as Lucozade these days. Blimmin’ sweeteners 😡
