School toast

Today I forgot to pay my 6 year olds toast money which they have at morning break. They gave every single child a slice of toast besides my daughter.

I have never forgotten before. Could they not have just put a note in her book bag as a reminder? Or sent a text.

You pay online for the term so I have paid it now (20p per day) including todays… even though she didn’t get any.

Should primary schools be more understanding? It’s not the child’s fault, it was mine.

Is it fair to single them out ? Toast for you, toast for you, NO toast for you , toast for you….

Not the point but when did schools start doing this toast business? Who is making all this toast? Is it just the one slice? Surely by the time it's served its cold and probably a bit soggy? Just a slice of cold soggy bread

I would be more upset that my kid was being encouraged to waste their precious playtime on queuing up and eating food that they didn’t need.

Like you said you forgot. Maybe the person making the toast list from the paid list forgot your child normally has it. Two forgets don't make a remember. How would you like it if schools posted on here evertime a parent did something the school didn't like? Posts like this criticising people trying to do extra in their work just highlights the ungrateful problem with society. No wonder teachers are leaving the profession and if all leave and no teachers are left what will be the biggest issue a world without education or a world without toast.
