Boris Johnson wants a 2nd bash at being PM. We wouldn't. Would we?

Today BJ is stirring up the DUP to oppose Sunak's N Ireland proposals, whatever they may be. Surely there can't be a second chance for the idiot responsible for our current mess? There aren't enough stupid people in our country to let him in again I hope. Will he unseat Sunak?

It's going to be an interesting general election. I have no doubt you and I will be on threads together

Probably - but I shall have to find a new hobby if the Conservatives lose. Grin

@Clavinova you are not going to stick around to discuss what an excellent job Starmer is doing? Shame, I think it would be fun.

Clavinova · 19/02/2023 20:15

are you in favour of the second coming Boris?

I'm still a big fan of Boris - but happy with Rishi Sunak at the moment - let's see at the end of the year.

Is it Boris' manliness, knowing what a women is, his partying skills, racist oratory, being the greatest liar or something else that means you are a fan?

Felicitythecat · 20/02/2023 07:06

If it was a choice between Starmer the human bollard (who still doesn't know what a woman is) and Partygate Boris, I'd go for Boris every time.

Parties all come to an end, but eroding women's rights will set women back decades.

longwayoff · 20/02/2023 07:08

Good morning. You'd think so wouldnt you? However, glad to provide another opportunity for the cuntpasters to deny reality.

@Clavinova Why do you like him?

I can see some good qualities in almost all politicians of all parties but BJ, nope, he has no redeeming features... incredibly self centred, womanising, so many children from too many partners, Brexit, not done because he believes in it but it was a means to power, his wastefulness as Mayor, as PM, his behavior over Covid.... & now messing about in NI... has he not done enough damage?

You get the picture!

However, i do agree with you, the next GE isn't a done deal at all, the Tories could easily turn things around over the next 18months or so.

To be fair, after 13 years of the Tories, women's rights have never been more eroded.

@Felicitythecat do you need me to provide you with examples of all the ways in which Boris and the party of which he is a member and former leader have eroded women's rights over the past 13 years?

Nah. He's an actual joke....

Q: why did Boris cross the road?

(please post the best answers!) 😂

Money, like everything else he does

Sorry, not very funny.

I think you are being unfair on the man. He is not all about money. Money, women and his ego perhaps.

@Felicitythecat Are you perhaps Michael Gove and so don't want to listen to experts and evidence if it gets in the way of your opinions?

The latest polling from Ipsos Mori, from June, shows that Johnson had a net satisfaction rating of -44. This is exactly the same net satisfaction score on which his predecessor, Theresa May, ended her premiership in June 2019.

Galaxy Brain logic. Whenever people say the tories play politics on easy mode, this is what they mean.

The greatest trick Johnson ever pulled was convincing people he was popular.

He is insanely popular with Tory party members. That is all that really matters to the Tory party, what the rest of the country thinks is completely irrelevant to them, aside from a four week period before each general election when they feel they ought to feign a little interest for appearance’s sake.
