Boris Johnson wants a 2nd bash at being PM. We wouldn't. Would we?

Today BJ is stirring up the DUP to oppose Sunak's N Ireland proposals, whatever they may be. Surely there can't be a second chance for the idiot responsible for our current mess? There aren't enough stupid people in our country to let him in again I hope. Will he unseat Sunak?

Had anyone tried asking Starmer what a man is? I just wonder… because if he can answer that, then he ought to be able to answer the same question in regard to what a woman is.

Fuck Boris. Fuck Starmer. In fact fuck the vast majority of them 🤷‍♀️

Haven't we got enough whataboutery with @Clavinova and her contributions?

Teaandtoast3 · 21/02/2023 01:35

Potentially @ilovesooty but the OP asked if we think Boris deserves a second chance. I wasn’t as succinct as I should have been and ranted instead. No. He doesn’t deserve another bloody chance… (I should probably add) in my opinion.

Teaandtoast3 · 21/02/2023 01:37

And @ilovesooty it was actually a genuine question regarding Starmer as I got to about page 5 where it was being discussed and gave up reading the rest of the thread. I just wondered if someone had tried that angle 🤷‍♀️

ilovesooty · 21/02/2023 01:40

@Teaandtoast3 fair enough 😁

It’s pretty shocking that people are still wheeling out old sayings ‘ oven ready’ for I stand that was actually SIX years ago?!
Have you nothing better to do than sound like
an old broken record go over and over picking at your scab of every last thing that was said years ago??

Brexit has been completed now.
In a matter of days the NI issue will be resolved one way or another.

Is it not time you moved on as well? Like the rest of the world?

Whether Johnson returns or not, we are entering a new chapter. Why not raise your eyes and look to the future.

Blessedwithsunshine · 21/02/2023 06:31

going

ClownpantsKate · 21/02/2023 07:00

His second wife was being treated for cancer when he took up with Carrie. I’d hardly call that the behaviour of a gentleman.

lazycats · 21/02/2023 07:09

If the “what is a woman” is the best ammo people have against Starmer then it’s safe to say Labour will have an easy time at the next election.

lazycats · 21/02/2023 07:14

Emotionalstorm · 21/02/2023 01:07

This is an unpopular opinion but I hope the Tories win the next election. I hope they bring Boris back because he's their only chance of a victory. They need some of the magic juju he has considering the recent polls

The polls were crashing while he was still in office. That’s why they got rid of him.

Again, Johnson’s superpower is imbuing a mass amnesia and making so many people forget how unpopular he was and still is.

It’s Tory MPs who are still fighting about brexit, so please spare us the “it was six years ago” crap.

Every leader in the free world has polls in free fall, people were pissed off after covid, and then the war creating so many issues. The lefties insisted this was Boris’ mismanagement. Supported by biased media outlets. The truth was it was a very difficult, if not impossible time to run the country.

Sunak is not supported by most of the party and certainly won’t win an election. I think most MPs are now realising that.

Starmer is a fake, if he wins, he will be a statesman along the lines of a block of wood. Policies are dreadful or non existent. We have experienced many woeful labour governments and this one will be even worse than all the others. We seem to have a talent deficit.

Most “leaders of the free world” don’t have 57 ministers resign from cabinet within 48 hours.

Again - amnesia. People forget what a farce that all was and how insane him trying to stay looked.

But yeah, “biased media outlets”. Keep it coming, boris bots! 😂

@Blessedwithsunshine perhaps you could explain something to me, if it is all to do with world events. The wholesale price of gas is now less than twice what it was a year ago, why have my gas bills nearly doubled in a year?

Alexandra2001 · 21/02/2023 08:01

@jgw1 Don't worry, its going up again in April.. by 40%... as is Electricity.

The price of gas has only just fallen due to the much warmer than expected winter in Europe. We can expect our bills to reflect that fall in the coming months. Pretty basic stuff, or are you a conspiracy theorist?

If that were true price rises would also lag the wholesale price by a few months.
If that were true then the price falls in the autumn would already be reflected in my bills.

Why does the price I pay for renewable electricity depend on the price of gas?
The market is rigged.

Nonsense, inflation across across europe is falling fast, down by 2 or 3 % from its highs and thats because energy price drops have been passed on to consumers and the de coupling of the gas/electricity link....

...meanwhile in the Golden Isle, prices are increasing, our bills will rise over the coming months as price support is removed, not drop.

Oh and there has been a normal winter in Europe not particularly mild overall, its just the europeans store an awful lot of gas... and can ride out price volatility.

ilovesooty · 21/02/2023 08:31

Oh dear @Blessedwithsunshine .Toying with the likes of you is like shooting fish in a barrel. Your persistent defence of the liar is cringe worthy. If you think that Brexit is going to be resolved so easily you are naive to the point of embarrassing.

Blessedwithsunshine · 21/02/2023 09:02

I actually feel rather sorry for you. Still banging on about brexit years and years later, like you are trapped in the past and can’t find your way out. I will leave you to it.

ChangedmynameagainforChristmas · 21/02/2023 09:04

Let him be leader of the tory party. Just never allow them to win an election.. ever.

longwayoff · 21/02/2023 09:07

Oven ready 6 years ago and still not cooked. Dont trust this man in your kitchen and, given his reputation for unrestrained spawning, dont trust him in your bedroom. Can you hear me women? All those kids, it's your own fault, nothing to do with ruthless and feckless penis owners abandoning responsibility because they can.

ilovesooty · 21/02/2023 09:18

@Blessedwithsunshine of course you're going to leave me to it. All you have to offer is soundbites. Naive and deluded in your defence of the liar. Bless.

You must be furious with whoever signed up to a deal this bad?”

Boris Johnson wants to make reforms to the Northern Ireland Protocol. In May 2022 the prime minister is asked why he signed it in the first place?

Emotionalstorm · 21/02/2023 10:02

I see what you're saying but Boris has a die hard fan base and I think if it was Boris Vs Starmer it would be a much closer race and Boris would win. He would have my vote anyway. His scandals don't bother me.
