Dog people who use the B word

DonnaBanana · 11/02/2023 11:21

I’m not into dogs myself but I often come across people who are and especially amongst the more breeder-y/training/“Dog life” people they seem to take pride in using the B word (that rhymes with pitch) as much as possible and it turns my stomach.

I know that female dogs are technically called that but they seem to endlessly use the word even in contexts where it’s not relevant to mention the sex of the dog. For example “oh yes I was training my B the other day and my B made a mistake so I didn’t give my B a treat” And I’m like please just stop, call it a dog or by its name. You are just trying to be offensive.

It’s such a shame such a horrible word is used for two reasons but AIBU.

I’ve never actually met someone who does that. I bet it’s someone who wears a padded gilet, polo neck, mountain warehouse jacket and has a ‘sensible’ haircut. They’re definitely a ‘type’.

Matching Berghaus and they cut each others hair! Eerily accurate!

BreviloquentBastard · 11/02/2023 12:17

Oh you'd really hate me then, I don't even use it correctly contextually. I call my girl dog "The Big Bitch" or "Hairy Bitch" and my male dog "Rat Boy" or "Dickhead". They don't mind, funnily enough. Why do you care?

DaveyJonesLocker · 11/02/2023 12:18

My bitch can be a right bitch. It's just a word. What adult can't even write it, grow up.
Bitchy maybe but I can't hack adults that have their stomach turned by words.

KangarooKenny · 11/02/2023 12:20

It was the word for a female dog before it was used as an insult.
Much like other words we’re not allowed to use today.

Knoblauch · 11/02/2023 12:21

You're allowed to say Bitch on here OP. you don't have to say '(rhymes with pitch)'. We're all adults, most normal adults can handle it.

Piglet89 · 11/02/2023 11:39

My cat is a total motherfucker, if that helps.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

vodkaredbullgirl · 11/02/2023 12:22

BITCH

You know you can say it on here and in the real world.

Beachsidesunset · 11/02/2023 12:27

I was walking my female GSD along a narrow path through some woods. A man walking his dog towards me called out 'Is it a dog?' and pointed at her. I said 'Yes!' and thought 'What an idiot', not realising he was asking her sex Grin

Welfast · 11/02/2023 12:28

We have horses and the black and white ones are called 'the coloured ones'. Because that's the name for black and white horses

ImprobablePuffin · 11/02/2023 12:35

Imagine not being able to write the word 'bitch' even when used in the correct context

Quitetheminx · 11/02/2023 12:38

I wonder if this poster is related to the one whose neighbour pees to loudly for her liking?

^This. It’s also about context, if the word is being used to define the sex of a dog then quite clearly it isn’t meant as an insult.

yossell · 11/02/2023 12:55

Wow. So many female-doggy comments.

PitYerTapOan · 11/02/2023 12:55

This thread is a bloody disgrace.

Cockbitchmaretridge and that's just the start of it.

I hope you're pleased with yourself OP.

I just read that thread! There seems to be a number of threads started lately with only the opening post and nothing else from the OP.

BellePeppa · 11/02/2023 13:01

My dog’s a bitch. Always by her sex and sometimes by her behaviour 🙃

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 11/02/2023 13:02

And I’m like please just stop, call it a dog or by its name. You are just trying to be offensive.

And you were just hoping for a “OMG you’re SO right, it’s disgraceful the way people use these terms to degrade women, it would never happen to a man” - despite the fact that the term “cock” is probably the most common insult aimed at men. You didn’t get what you wanted.

What can I say - life’s a B word.

Oh my god, I’ve just realised that I’m the idiot, not the ‘weirdo’ who asked me if my dog was a dog 😬😂

Curtainsorblinds · 11/02/2023 13:05

Are you okay OP? Is this a call for help?

The best offended post I ever did read!

😂😂😂

I think repeatedly using the word bitch in quick succession sounds a little odd these days but I too have only heard that on Ghosts. I would assume it's more common in breeding, showing or working circles, but it is totally normal to use "bitch" to distinguish between more than one dog or where sex is relevant, as opposed to girl or boy. Horse owners very commonly use mare, gelding or stallion rather than horse. I've had two bitches and one dog and I would say that if I was relating my history although I'd probably say "I've had three dogs; two bitches and one dog, but only one, the dog, from a puppy." Someone saying "I've only ever had bitches." wouldn't sound at all odd to me.

That has made me properly chuckle 🤣

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 11/02/2023 13:13

God knows what will happen if OP overheard a farmer complaining about his fucking cows. She’ll probably hyperventilate.

BellePeppa · 11/02/2023 13:16

Ever since watching Breaking Bad I’ve grown to quite like the word bitch. Jesse Pinkman would greet everyone, male or female, with Yo!Bitches. It grew on me and I’d quite like to do the same (but haven’t)😁
