come on!! Be absolutely honest. how many of you have thrown that fleece over the top of your jimmys and done the school run?! I have many a time, in fact did it this very morning, but bit embarassing when the teacher came and asked me a question about DS and noticed the winnie the pooh sticking out the bottom of my jeans!

hecate, but i dont want to get up earlier

VictorianSqualor · 07/02/2008 21:23

"Breakfast is sometimes eaten in the car en route"
Yeah, that's great, you do realise your children are going to school to learn and falling in the gate seconds after eating their breakfast might not be quite the best start for the day.
Lazy.

expatinscotland · 07/02/2008 21:23

i don't want to pay taxes, either, but well . . .

Quattrocento · 07/02/2008 21:24

At the risk of sounding like Xenia, it really does sound like you need a job. It'd help you to learn to manage yourself properly, help bolster self-esteem, be good all round.

lou33 · 07/02/2008 21:25

ok i will rephrase it

i will not get up any earlier

because i am a lazy bitch who likes my bed too much, especially in the winter

tomboymom · 07/02/2008 21:26

lol i never did but i was always late now i home school lol but good on ya lmao

lou33 · 07/02/2008 21:28

thought tomorrow i do have to get up earlier and get dressed as dd2 has to be dropped to a school trip and ds2 is going to an assembly at dd2's school, which i have to take him to

conversebootmum · 07/02/2008 21:29

Wh needs a job? Me? I do I work in a psychiatric hospital 2 nights a week!

And Lou, great for you, I reckon we are the only ones who dont go to bed in their clothes, high heels and makeup, thats why they are so glam in the morning. As I said we dont intend on getting out of the car but on occasion it has happened!

I go to M&S across the road in the middle of the day in my pj's with a coat over the top

and I drive to the supermarket in the middle of the night and go shopping/get petrol

I have plenty of self esteem - enough so that I never give a fuck what anyone else thinks of me

That's confidence baby

conversebootmum · 07/02/2008 21:31

PMSL Laurie!

Quattrocento · 07/02/2008 21:33

Hmm. well okay. There's a fine line between having personal self-confidence, enough to stand out in a crowd, and crazy unwashed woman forcing herself on other people ...

expatinscotland · 07/02/2008 21:34

Cool! Hope your kids have that much chutzpah, Laurie, they're going to need it .

NKF · 07/02/2008 21:34

Confidence is one word for it.

conversebootmum · 07/02/2008 21:34

right folks, time to say goodnight, I need to get in that bed if I am to get up at 3am to polish my jimmy choos and make myself look fab for the school run!

chubbymummy · 07/02/2008 21:35

No,no,no,no Get dressed for f**ks sake!!!!!!! Have you no shame? Your poor kids must get called rotten for having such a lazy mum. I'm not asking for high heels and make up - just have a bit of pride. What sort of example are you setting for your kids? I assume you don't work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lou33 · 07/02/2008 21:35

i wouldnt lose sleep over it if i did have to get out of the car tho

but i really dont care what anyone would think

shameless i am

CoteDAzur · 07/02/2008 21:35

I've never seen nor talked to anyone who leaves their home while still in their pyjamas. Can't fathom who all you people are and where you can possibly be living where this is normal.

Then again, before reading their posts, I never knew there were people who do not use deodorant and who never use soap/shampoo on their kids. Such is the beauty of MN - it brings together people who would never meet in RL.

Lauriefairycake · 07/02/2008 21:35

Quattrocento - I don't actually rub myself up against other people or anything

expatinscotland · 07/02/2008 21:36

Good, converse! I know there are probably a lot, but might be a good idea to sort through some of those piles of clothes on the floor so your daughter doesn't wind up grabbing your Joseph top and Seven jeans out of the pile and wearing them to school.

NKF · 07/02/2008 21:37

Yes. Where are they? That's why I think it must be a wind up. I mean, women who aren't clinically depressed or somnabulant walking around in their nightclothes. It's too strange to be true.

VictorianSqualor · 07/02/2008 21:37

What I can't understand is why oh why you cant pull on a jumper and take off your pj's?
It must take seconds longer in fact, it probably takes longer to put jeans on over pjs as they would roll up and be really annoying.

Quattrocento · 07/02/2008 21:37

I'm quite thankful for that

I didn't realise "the great unwashed" was a literal expression...

I still don't believe they do that - so I am clinging firmly on to the hope that it is a wind up.

Please?

conversebootmum · 07/02/2008 21:38

I could live right next door to you...........

expatinscotland · 07/02/2008 21:38

PJ's are the new black, NFK, where have you been?

They shout 'Confidence' 'Fuck you, world, I don't care what you think!' and 'Hugh Hefner RULES' without making a sound.

NKF · 07/02/2008 21:38

Nope. No Winnie the Pooh pyjamas on my neighbour.
