Flowers is amazing? I keep watching the video and thinking she's fabulous. I've never liked her before but this is wonderful!

I love her voice. She has done some amazing covers over the years.

The press really tried to pull her down years ago, there was a lot of misogyny in the reporting of her performance with Robin thicke, who is far older than her (and he's creepy as hell). She's done well despite of all the attention and pressure.

Although, if you want "broke my heart" revenge tunes, You Oughta Know by Alanis Morrisette is better. Rather than sounding hurt as Miley does, Alanis sounds like she's going to cause some instead

The lyrics are parallels of Bruno Mars’ when I was your man, so everything he says he should have done in that, she’s singing about doing it herself and uses some of the melody... and it samples I will survive as well.

Absolutely loving this song too ! I love the lyrics and felt quite goose bumpy when I first heard it that this is how I want my daughter to be when she starts the relationship roller coaster .

Love the song ended up down a rabbit hole of Miley Cyrus songs.

She is so unbelievably talented and so underrated.

Have a watch of her singing with metallica on the Howard Stern show. Wow.

I love that it is a response to Bruno Mars When I was Your Man that Liam Hemsworth dedicated to her. I love that she is dancing in the video around the house that he allegedly rented to cheat with other women in. Good for her. Its the new I Will Survive. It's a great song.

It's like the dress she wears in the video is the same as one worn by Jennifer Lawrence to an awards (or a premiere) for a film she was in with Liam. There is a suggestion it's a code for "he slept with her too" by wearing it
And the suit she wears? Liam's from when he told her to behave herself and shut up on the red carpet, thinking it wouldn't be picked up but it was.

It's very clever. Apparently there are lots of little Easter eggs in it to things he did.

I saw her sing live at the Brits a few years ago and bloody hell can she sing! Really surprised me. Flowers is a great song, I think she’s really matured.

Completely agree.. You Oughta Know is the ultimate in this genre! Never even had a bad break up and yet the way I sing along to that you’d think I need therapy.

Yaaa knew bits of it like the suit and the house meaning etc it was the song part couldn't understand as someone said its what he dedicated at their wedding. Having it during the divorce makes way more sense.

I do like Miley! Wrecking ball is a favourite of mine and although some have been interesting majority of her songs are pretty good.

No I disagree. Flowers has an "I'm over you completely" vibe. You Oughta know is a proper "angry chick" song. Both great songs but they don't give the same message.

Another one who has been blown away by Miley after her song. Her voice and style has very much matured, which is only inevitable as she got older. Just like any child star, she needed time to figure out who she was going to be. Have always found her really irritating but definitely see her in a new light.

I love her voice. I also think she's extremely savvy... she knows how to shock and also how to reel it back in. Think how Wrecking Ball was such a hit and her outrageous behaviour just sent sales soaring.

She has done some amazing songs and has real talent.

In fact just re-listening to You Oughta Know, Alanis sounds like a really bitter ex who's popped up when you've moved on, who hasn't healed or moved on themselves and sounds like a crazy bitch tbh! Flowers gives the message "you were a prick, I'm healed, I do shit by myself! F you!"

Miley is one of the best female vocalists out there. Her live version of like a prayer puts Madonna to shame and I say that as a lifelong Madge fan.
