I can’t believe it’s the last episode this weekend- I’ve scoured Netflix Prime and i player for an alternative fix with no avail
what am I going to watch now?

Predictions?

I've a horrible feeling Claire is going to die by suicide or maybe fall off the wagon and OD. The look on her face when Catherine told her she was weak and "an empty vessel"...you could practically hear her heart breaking.

I think the dodgy pharmacists wife is onto him. She looked very suspicious when he refused to report his run in with the psycho PE teacher to the police.

Don't trust Neil as far as I could throw him. Somethings going on there.

Agree with pp Alison must have a part to significant role to play in whatever comes next next or what was the point in bringing her back?

I think Ryan or Catherine being involved in the demise of TLR is too obvious; I thought for a long time that it would be Ryan that killed TLR to save Catherine but this programme is known for the twists and turns. I think Catherine telling Clare how weak she is on numerous occasions this series has been foreshadowing. I think Ryan will gather info from TLR and go to meet him with Catherine and a fight will ensue. TLR will be close to killing Catherine and Ryan will try to stop it but Clare will deliver the fatal blow to TLR. Maybe we won't know she's even there until the last moments. That will prove to Catherine how much Clare loves her and will let Clare show she's not weak. Clare has been like a parent to Ryan, doing his dinner, bedtime and emotionally supporting him etc - she loves Ryan as much as Catherine. She showed that by taking him to see TLR, whilst it was completely the wrong thing to do, she just wanted to make him happy.

I'm watching the Last Tango in Halifax at the moment - it takes a series to get into it, it is very slow to start but once the stories have been set it gets really good!

Yup. She's told him he needs to "be careful" and he's glossed over it about half a dozen times in the last couple of episodes so he's clearly going down.

I don't think it will be something as obvious as him being killed by Darius though. I think he'll sacrifice himself for Catherine, or maybe Ryan, in some way. He clearly regrets leaving her to raise Ryan alone. I think there will be some kind of redemption arc.

Have you seen Mare of Easttown OP? It's an American drama but has a lot in common with Happy Valley. Highly recommended. You might also enjoy the first series of No Offence. (Subsequent series not so good in my opinion.)

The Split is really good too.

I think Catherine will follow Ryan to meet Tommy, and there’ll be some kind of nasty stand-off. Ryan will get hurt protecting Catherine, but then Clare & her fella will appear in the dodgy truck like avenging angels and squish Tommy: poetic justice after the way he killed that young PC.

I think TLR isn't Ryan's dad and knows he isn't (infertile) but has been using Ryan to get to Catherine.

TLR will try to kill Ryan because he knows that would destroy Catherine.

Lots of people will get caught in the crossfire. Think Claire or Neil or ex husband will also die.
