Personally I’d prefer my dh was involved in this sort of stuff rather than an intense relationship with a colleague. if it’s a payg type approach, it’s a much more clinical option.

depends what’s classed as a favour. If you go on the relationships board there’s many relationships where the woman wants to live without sex but keep the marriage together, presumably for the kids. So if she doesn’t want her DH to leave and he’s not happy in a sex less marriage, then maybe she thinks she is doing them a favour. Some women are happy for their DH to get sex elsewhere as long as it’s not an affair and paying for sex is the safest way for that I guess

I would blame a sex worker for being involved with a married man. It's purely transactional, they don't want your husband- so not the same as an affair IMO. But it's still a bit crass to claim you're doing the wife a favour. She deserves criticism for that.

She is starting from a false presumption: that the most important thing for a woman is to hang on to a man.
No matter how sleezy, how morally bankrupt, no matter what type of sex he feels entitled to, she is a woman who believes any man is better than no man.
With this as her start point, she believes she is helping women keep this most important of things (because otherwise he would leave in order to work his way through the queue of women just waiting to indulge his fantasies for free) so no doubt genuinely believes she is helping.
I don't judge her. She has internalised some deeply harmful attitudes.

Ridiculous statement imo. It's like saying if I take the sweets away, my obese child won't carry on eating. Except they will, they'll eat something else, or go buy more sweets with their pocket money. If a man wants to cheat, he will find a way. Blaming women for capitalising on men's inability to think other than with their dicks is silly. Many women would offer it for free, why shouldn't a sex worker make money? He'd do it with someone else regardless!

Leaving aside the fact a lot of sex workers are victims of trafficking, of course.

How many prostitutes do you know? Not “sex workers” as in strippers or cam girls but actual prostitutes? I’ve worked with hundreds over the years and I can think of possibly 3 who were not being pimped out, on drugs, desperately supporting a child/ family member or had quite severe mental health issues. These are women right across the board from homeless women to high end agency girls.

The bigger problem is men who are happy to rent womens bodies for their own pleasure. If they didn't do it, it wouldn't be profitable to traffic vulnerable women and girls into sex slavery and loads would be saved from that fate.
