New mum in the mums group, seems a bit up her own bum about designer labels and clothes etc. She’s often a bit sneery and definitely does that withering looking you up and down type of thing.
Her, m her Dh and kids, live with her parents in a big house, she dives their spare Land-rover car and they pay her dc’s school fees.
Aibu to think she’s got a bit of a nerve to act high and mighty when none of it is her money and the rest of us earn money to pay our own mortgages, bills and cars and therefore maybe don’t own a Gucci belt 🙈😅

For everyone to jump in and bully a woman that they’ve never met just because OP says they “seem” a certain way and keep looking at her….meanwhile OP is openly being a judgmental bitch.

Next time she looks you up and down ask her why she is doing it. Something like “oh, is there something on my dress, I’ve noticed you looked me up and down”.

I judge people by their shoes. If they are a bit naff,, or they are too round at the front, I don't want to be friends with you.

Nothing more amusing than people who try to flash their caviar budget when they can barely afford beer and they they are fooling anyone. Pathetic and sad.

It sounds like you're a teeny bit jealous and outraged at her lifestyle, but really, just let her be. Who knows what's going on in her life behind closed doors. The best thing, although it's hard to do, is to be nice, kind, friendly towards her as you'd be to anyone else in the group.

I think the take home point here is, she’s telling you she lives with her parents, uses their car etc if she was high and mighty I would presume she wouldn’t disclose all this, and perhaps she’s trying to make friends? Some women can appear to look bitchy, but when you get to know them they’re not. It sounds like you’re the one doing all the judging on her lifestyle.

You really don’t know much about her apart from the things you’ve decided you don’t like about her.

You aren’t taking anything at face value though, you’re making assumptions.
The woman lives with her parents and sometimes drives their car … that doesn’t mean she’s projecting anything.
They might have jointly bought the house, the woman may have funded it more, maybe the parents can’t maintain their bigger house and their daughter pays the bios and maintains it so they don’t have to sell. You actually have no idea.

She lives in a massive house, has access to an expensive car, probably has easy childcare from her parents, has kids in private school and wears expensive clothes. Sounds like she isn’t likely to be scrimping on essentials at all, probably has quite a nice life and therefore people feel the need to infer all sorts of things in a desperate attempt to feel better than her.

What a bizarre assumption to make. They’re £300 not £30,000. It’s hardly inconceivable that people buy them.
