apart from the fact that jodie whittaker is arguably The.Best.Docter.Ever. we will most likely not see a female dr in the next 20 years. if ever.

We've had two female Doctors so far

Jodie is a fine actress but the story lines where weak and for some reason she turned from angry/sarcastic/oddball/wise/kind to a happy bouncy Labrador - I found the series jarring

Capaldi for me or Pertwee

None of that means we wont see a 3rd female in the role - with better writing!

JW is a fantastic actress but I hated the storylines they gave her, they were awful!

So bad for the brand that Russell T has been brought back to rescue it ..

She was bloody awful, with the daft gurning face.
Mostly though the writers did a crap job with all the dull endlessly preachy storylines and even duller companions.

Can we say three and include The Doctor Donna? She would have been an amazing full time Dr. Didn’t like Jodie, wasn’t her fault I don’t think, the story lines just weren’t good enough. I have high hopes for Ncuti and the return of Russell T Davies - so excited 😀

Don't be silly. The lifespan of a Doctor is five years tops. I'm sure there'll be another woman in a decade or less. And maybe a better written one.

Liked Jodie, hated the preaching storylines.

This. If Russell and Ncuti can't save it then it's probably for the scrap heap. IMO the best storylines were David Tennant/Rose and Matt Smith/Amy/Rory. Episodes you can watch again and again and not get bored.

I would like another female doctor in two Doctors time as I'm still holding out hope for Sean Pertwee (though I know he said he wouldn't do it and understand why) and Paterson Joseph.
Then I'd love to see someone like Joanne Scanlon.
One of the biggest things is the writing, both for the Doctor and the companions.
Capaldi was done over as well as Whitaker IMO as was Jenna Coleman.
