Do I show woman pictures of her husband on tinder?

Northwestsouth · 21/01/2023 12:00

I matched with a guy and found him on tinder. I changed my pictures to his from Facebook (it was 1am lol) and let it unfold…

he denied it was him lol. He said he’s been single since 4 years and also when I mentioned his wife’s name, he claimed he didn’t know her. They have the same surname… been together since teens.

we didn’t meet up so I don’t know if I should let it be….

Give him a period of time to remove himself from Tinder, say 24 hours. Or you will let his wife know. Though it must be an undertaking not a threat.

Alternative if you know someone in person who he works with, let them know. Zero sympathy for such men.

I wonder if the planned law on social media should compel Tinder and others to act. Being married or not is fact not opinion. In a way, to lie like this is to seek to get something/somewhere by deception.

BitOutOfPractice · 21/01/2023 13:27

He’s a total stranger who wants to go to bed with her though. He’s deceiving her and his wife. She just gave him a little fright.

You sound like a bunny boiler

Agree.

theGooHasGone · 21/01/2023 13:31

Waiting for the dripfeed on this one. OP sounds like a piece of work.

RenoDakota · 21/01/2023 13:31

Proper Mumsnet bingo here today Grin
"Are you quite well?"
"Are you on glue?"
and the like.

I think you should mind your own business. It’s shit stirring. It might not even be him - you don’t sound sure if you’re mentioning weight loss and lighting in the photo.

OP said that he admitted it was him.

SilverGlitterBaubles · 21/01/2023 13:36

Ever wondered why you stalking men in Tinder and social media at 1am OP. Does it give you some kind of thrill to catch men like this out? Is it a revenge thing for something that happened to you perhaps? Seriously look after your own life maybe get out more and stop interfering in the lives of complete strangers.

Yep. And all the people who seem to be defending the right of a married man to chat up women on tinder because his marriage is none of their business. Unbelievable!

Emmamoo89 · 21/01/2023 13:37

You make no sense. Are you okay?

strumpert · 21/01/2023 13:40

Wow.

Maybe take up knitting?

Irisheyesareshining · 21/01/2023 13:41

You found like a bunny boiler, the guys had idiot block and move on.

AFS1 · 21/01/2023 13:41

Well you’ve now made it harder for any other woman to spot that he’s married because he’ll make sure he covers his tracks and reveals less personal information in the future.

Dontputitthereagain · 21/01/2023 13:43

I'm impressed that you could get to his profile on Facebook from a very common first name and a photograph on Tinder. How ...?

I did with my partner, also very common name. He was wearing the kit of a sports club he competes for in one of his photos. A bit of internet research unlocked a fair bit of info about him without him telling me. I considered it due diligence

It's to weed out the married men?? Even if you don't agree with op changing her profile pics and considering telling the wife, surely you can't argue she was wrong to do her due diligence. One thing to take from this post is that it's worth checking!

Alternatively we'd be on here slating op in 6 months time for dating a man she didn't know was married. All the replies would be "how could you possibly not know he's married? Does he not have social media?"

ToBeOrNotToBee · 21/01/2023 12:10

You have absolutely no idea what is happening within their marriage.

Unless you know her personally, you sound like a right nasty piece of work.

I don’t agree at all.

Im married and would definitely want to know if my dh was on tinder.

Cant believe so many women have such low bars and would happily bury their heads in the sand..

And that's OPs fault? Not the lying cheating married man?

Even more reason to tell his wife of his antics. Then he can enjoy the single life to his heart's content.

SilverGlitterBaubles · 21/01/2023 13:44

@BitOutOfPractice No one is defending anyone. The OP does not know anything about the people concerned other than adding a few bits of information together from stalking social media and jumping to conclusions which she seems absolutely thrilled about. If being some kind of Tinder vigilante is what floats your boat then good luck but that's a pretty bitter and sad life to live.

sentientpuddle · 21/01/2023 13:45

His marriage is none of your business. Lol. You have no idea how much damage you could do by telling his wife. Lol. They have children. Lol. Your actions could create a world of shit. Lol. If he is cheating, his wife deserves to know, but it shouldn't be you who tells her. Lol.

No, that's not what people are saying. Christ, what a way to live.

SeeYouNextTLol · 21/01/2023 13:46

some reactions to OP are dumb. This guy was scamming OP. Seen a thread about an OP winding up a scammer on text messages. Most MN found amusing even though that OP could have just blocked/ignored the scammer as some are suggesting on this thread. This OP has done a similar thing as she saw she was being scammed and changed her photos for jokes and the reaction but apparently she should of just blocked/ignored instead of have a laugh. 😂😂😂 this place is full of dumb fecks!

zhivagodr · 21/01/2023 13:47

You sound unhinged

SeatonCarew · 21/01/2023 13:47

Everything you've looked at OP is something he has chosen to put in the public domain. He shouldn't be surprised if people then look at it.

Has he not heard of reverse image search?
