To think most people have *not* tried cocaine?

On another thread, a poster states that 'most people have at least tried cocaine'.

I haven't, and family haven't. However, on threads about drugs there always seems to be a clear divide - either people haven't taken them, or everyone they know has.

So, for a very unscientific survey:

YABU - I have tried cocaine
YANBU - I have not tried cocaine

most my friends have sown many would be surprised at a few haven’t

I wouldn’t now it’s a tad sad seeing 50 somethings popping off to the loos for a line

I’ve never even seen any in real life let alone tried it. I went to Manchester uni in the early 2000s so I’m sure there would have been people taking it, but not me. I’d have been terrified anyway even if I did have the opportunity, Never taken any illegal drugs except one puff of weed when I was about 15. This is very similar to most of my friends and dh so it’s definitely not common amongst my friends.

I haven't (I have tried other stuff). DH tried it before he met me.

I was a bit naive when it comes to coke. I didn't realise how many people were doing it til now, its very common!

Never tried it, have and had no intentions to, never even been offered it. Same goes for the majority of my family that also have no intention to.
ive been offered weed before which I also turned down. I’m not sure why people would even jump on that bandwagon... knowing how potentially addictive it is. Peer pressure is a shit excuse, especially for adults.

I have tried it. Wasn't that fussed. My sister used it quite a bit in her early twenties recreationally. Now she's a respectable mother or two in the nhs. It doesn't always mean total miscreant.

I have but pills and sped were more my bag in the 90s and 00s.

I worry about my son at Uni, it's all about ket now which worries me much more than anything that was the norm when I was a student.

Never tried it. Never been offered it. I think I know who I'd ask if I wanted to try it but that's about it!

I haven't, I do know someone who tried it once, didn't like it. I've no wish to, but happy with a little weed every now and again 🤷‍♀️

I haven’t. DH did a few times in mid twenties, it’s extremely common in the industry he works in. Lots of former colleagues of his were dabbling recreationally.

For your survey, I haven’t tried cocaine, but have smoked cannabis and had magic mushrooms. That was fun!

I have but not for very many years. It's common in the industry I work in but not in my friendship group. Many of our friends smoke weed but I haven't done that either since about 2004.

Never tried any hallucinogens and have always been petrified of them.

I never have, neither has my sister or my parents. My ex hasn't either, neither of us have even tried weed.

One of my ex's worked closely with the CEO of a production company and one night the employees went out and my ex had to help the CEO to his limo as he had snorted so much coke he couldn't walk straight. I was shocked that someone at that level would use coke, but I guess I'm seriously naive. lol

Most people I know have tried it and used it on a regular basis in their 20s. My DH and I grew up in the same part of London.

My DH's group of friends use it quite regularly and I think a couple definitely have an addiction issue. I also think his friends work in industries where it's normalised - entertaining clients and boozy lunches that turn into nights out.

people at work take it, and I’ve was once offered it as a birthday present 😱 but never have… always thought I’d sneeze or everywhere!
What is it like? Would you say it was worth the money for example?

Never tried it, never wanted to. The same goes for my husband, our adult sons, and their partners.
