Anyone else's DH do this?!

Sort of lighthearted ....

When DH does the Tesco food shop he messages me about 10-15 times over the hour or so he is there. Sends me pictures of different shelves saying "do you want anything from here?" or "which nappies?" and a screenshot of the entire shelf of nappies in Tesco, for example 🙈

The whole point of him doing the shop instead of me is so that I get a break from it and get to chill at home!! Instead I'm spending the whole time answering his texts about what to buy so might as well be in the bloody shop with him 🤷‍♀️ I find myself just replying "honestly whatever you think, just pick one".

Anyone else or just my DH with this annoying as fuck habit?!

Or AIBU and I need to shut up and be grateful he values my input? 😂

He checks in with me if he takes nearly 12 year old DD clothes shopping as well. It is not incompetence, it is probably lack of confidence.

I refused to answer the phone so he bought six plus calpol for our two year old (probably deliberately he was an arse) so I said well he has a temperature and needs it I will guess a lower dose will do the trick and went to open the bottle he screamed at me I was killing his child ummm you bought it so? Apparently he never expected me to actually GIVE it too him he wasted money on a "joke" because I wasn't answering the phone he had the other stuff in the car

I like my OH doing the shopping . Its great even if he gets too much or the wrong thing sometimes . I would rather do some DIY in peace while he is out !

Get the app and do click and collect.

You can check the contents of your shop about 1-2 hours before collection. If anything is missing or not to your liking, get him to go in for a few specific items. Then turn your phone off.

This way he collects it, it's cheap to get it this way and you'll get a break.

You can put an entire past order into your basket and edit it. So it quite a quick process once you get used to it.
